Send “goodbye” for the last message Ren sends to your muse on his deathbed. || Accepting
Sharp breaths come through clenched teeth, pain racing through him every time his chest rises and falls. A hand, clad in leather, is harshly pressed against the wound on his gut, a desperate attempt to control the blood loss really, but the only thing the raven haired man knows to do. The pain eating away at him slowly becomes a dull ache as his vision begins to blur as well, knowing any minute this will all be over, and pain he’s facing at this very moment will be for nothing.
Death has never been something Kylo Ren has feared, even before he went under that name. After everything he’s been through, death is an escape, a way out of the treacherous life he’s made himself. It’s a cowardly way out really, but it’s one he’ll gladly accept now.
Somewhere in the haze that’s wrapped around his brain a certain name made an appearance. Rey. The girl they found on the planet of Jakku that he had the pleasure of watching grow up and train with. Over time he’s grown to trust and even like the girl, able to think of her as a friend on top of the many words he uses to describe the brunette.
He can’t leave this galaxy behind without saying goodbye to her.
Shaky, blood stained, hands work hard to get the comlink on, as an equally shaky exhale passes cracked lips, his mind already beginning to race with what to say. He could say so much, but he can hardly think straight anymore, so if he’d prefer to get anything coherent out, he’d better keep things short and sweet.
“Rey,” he began raggedly. “I know you understand you’re powerful, a force to be reckoned with really, but you can still be so much more. Stay on the path you’re on now and you’ll be invincible and strike fear through the very core of the Resistance. I wish you luck with the rest of your journey, it’s been a true privilege to train and work beside you — Goodbye.” He ends the message after the last word, his hands feel like weights now and fall easily to his sides, as dark unfocused eyes blink lazily, waiting for death to finally take him.
