" So Melvin, do you like the aquarium?" she asked the small girl as she tickles her.

"Who doesn’t?" People actually didn’t like the aquarium? Letting out a giggle she grinned.

REQUESTED: DARLEAN/KALDUR.

//"Alright so since her and I talked over the prompt the other night quite a bit I'll just give you a lil' summary. This is sort of like a free verse poem because I love doing those so sorry. Might have spelling errors?"//

It wasn't The Little Mermaid, but it sure felt like it.

It wasn't The Little Mermaid.

No Darlean had Zatanna as a sort of fairy godmother.

The magician had seen how she had 'pinned' after the other atlantean.

The fact that she couldn't see had been a small problem.

All it had taken was, Her mother's amulet, the loss of jealously and a little bibity, bobity, boo.

She'd been able to see Kaldur- not just with her clicks, too.

She hadn't known it was possible to fall even more in love with him.

It was strange not having been able to see since she was five.

The whole world in bright colors, not as bright as home.

But all she cold really focus on was Kaldur.

Not on the oogling women - and a few men, with their eyes watching Kaldur intently.

Their fingers intertwined she couldn't hope but imagine this as a date.

If only it was.

Wow she was beautiful.

He'd known that for awhile, sure he never look-looked much before/during Tula.

But that didn't mean he couldn't look now, more like silently admire.

Not so silently actually with their peaceful small talk, their fingers interlaced as they walked around the beach.

It'd been a surprise when Kaldur had leaned in to peck her cheek.

Completely unexpected.

It'd left her surprised and slightly flushed at the contact.

Leaning over she kissed him on the lips, it was completely fair.

This wasn't the little mermaid, but it had sure felt like it.

No drowning princes.

No mermaids dreaming of adventures on land.

No evil  sea-witch.

  Just two people in love, stupidly in love.

She chuckles as she spreads her fingers out so she can see her webbing between her fingers easily, her gills seen on her neck and eyes blank of a pupil " I take you see my hand, Melvin."

She looked different than that one time she’d seen Aqualad. She reminded her of a mermaid in a way. She was pretty like one too. Nodding she grinned “Mhhm."

Darlean sits on the edge of the tank as she jumps down and lands infront of her " I'm Darlean Rhodes, it's a pleasure to meet you Melvin" she says as she stays kneeled, hand extended out to the child, her webbed fingers seen.

"Nice to meet you Miss Darlean!" She says taking her hand, she didn’t know how she’d jumped down like that. Maybe she was some one like her? “Wow." She whispered glancing at the woman’s hand.
