--I love revisiting this scene. The first time Daenerys follows her own initiative, testing power, and balancing destinies...S3 Daenerys. 

--Anyway, it's also a fine inspiration for a scene that's been haunting me too, of Gwenafyr (utilizing the oft’alluded motif of her abduction penchant, and having her turn ‘abduction’ into advantage on the eve of my interpretation of Badon 2/Camlann), on horseback, before the vestigeal company of Sarmatians conquered by Theoderic the Great (at Singidunum/now modern Belgrade...adapted from his real conquest) years before, rallying them to her cause, out-playing Theoderic’s attempt at kidnapping her on the eve of his own conquest of Italy, where she's been betrayed into his custody by Clovis, for Uthyr’s guarantee he’ll not invade the Frankish north coast, and being able to utilize the Franco-Amorican port of Nantes, to prepare for his own invasion of his island after years fighting in the Gallic wars against Soisson. 

--Gwen’s rallying cry opens with, “Iayzyges!”--in the native tongue of the horselords once conscripted to British shores 300 years before, under the command of a rebel Roman officer, Lucius Artorius Castus. The 5500 horselords, settled upon British shores, bringing victory to a daughter of Brigantia at that time, allied with legions in the days when the Eagles dominated the known world, to defend the Isle of the Mighty. And Gwenafyr, a descendent of the Sarmati horse queen, Saranyu/Matrona, the offspring of Roman generals and British queens as well, sharing heritage with this last last company of Sarmatians, children of the Royal Scythians and Amazons...

--Thus, does Gwenafyr overturn Theoderic’s ploy to seduce her in exchange for allowing her to return to her husbsnd’s side with a company of heavy cavalry of Sarmatisn ilk. Freeing the Sarmati company, allowing them the choice to join her in fighting for the defense of Britannia once more, but as free men, in exchange for lands and glory, what they might win in her service and Uthyr's.  One last battle...

--It's moot, but she also ends up temporarily, but conveniently, apprehending Theoderic as her hostage...dynamics between Gwen, Uthyr, Theoderic, Clovis, and the myriad Anglian/Jutish/Saxon kings, which set the stage over the next 20 years, of British/Teutonic/Frankish/Gothic/Byzantian politique...
