Some of them are going to drop as the month goes on. I've always been partial to Roger Moore, he has always been my James Bond, but I have to say, I just watched Casino Royale and Daniel Craig really is good, he is good in everything he does. Cowboys and Aliens to the Glass Onion, he has a very wide range of characters and emotions. Craig is 1 of those actors Who can pull off entire scenes, back to back, without ever saying a word, and to me that's a consummate actor. Of course Eva Green drowning herself to death actually has me feeling some kind of way cause you know I watched this movie just to see her. I told artemisia today I can't help it, I guess I will always be her peasant. But in the long run, I think Craig has won me over as the best bond. This Bond is deeper and feels more like a real person than Roger Moore and Sean Connery could ever pull off. Connery I just don't like. That's just a personal thing with me. It seems to me that just about any movie I see him in, he misses the mark. Even in highlander, whos real star is Clancy Brown, by the way. He always comes across as a shifty dude. an egomaniac or a car salesman. I've said it before and I will say it again that car salesman are the worst of the worst human beings on the planet. I think they probably even give the serial killers a run for their money for the sheer volume of people they try to take advantage of. And Sean Connery seems to exude that right out of his skin because I see it in every movie he's in. His Saturday night live Doppelganger version, played so spot on by Darrell Hammond is as real as it gets. lol. A man more consumed with his own ego than trying to pull off a believable character, like some modern day politicians are today, and I can read it all over him even when he is in character. All of that but there's one exception and that is the Indiana Jones movie. He plays a good Indiana Jones father in that movie. And even then that character is a self absorbed, narcissistic type character, kind of a dead beat Archaeologist dad who didn't have time for Indy until he's had his secret map stolen. Also i have to include the "women need a slap every once in a while." word turd he stepped in on an interview somewheres. classy chap. I will probably receive hate for that because there's a lot of Sean Connery fans out there and a few 'slap a woman' fans too, who appreciate Connery giving Voice to inner feelings that they are too cowardly to express themselves. I'm sure someone right now is biting their lip. Go ahead and hit my inbox if it makes you feel better. I'm still not going to like him. Even Roger Moore, who comes across as British wealthy elite sometimes, has more depth in his port side Gluteus. Pierce Brosnan Actually is not as bad as James bond and he brings a more seriousness to the role. I do like a few of the movies with Pierce Brosnan in them and I don't mind rewatching a few of those. He's a better actor than Connery too, lol. I never really intended for this to be a Connery hate post. I was kind of just laying it down that i like Daniel Craig, I think better than all of them.
Too bad Bezos now owns the James bond franchise. I can't wait to see who he pushes at us in the role. Not to mention, we will probably now see James bond movies that are designed to make us feel sympathy for billionaires. You think I'm kidding, just wait. And this is the point I was working my way towards. Netflix is showing every James bond movie This month and I bet it's for a reason. I'm betting that after this bezos is gonna lock it up into amazon behind a paywall. Like Disney with marvel and star wars. It's kind of like extortion. So my suggestion is watch the bond movies now while you can for free, if you're affluent and well off, and it doesn't matter to you, you'll just buy the channel and put it on your thingy well I'm not talking to you, Sean Connery. I'm talking about the rest of us.
