This dad will get to see his son compete in Rio thanks to kind strangers

Liz Willock was taking what she thought was a normal Uber ride back in July, when she learned her driver Ellis Hill had a son headed to the Olympics. His son Darrell Hill will be representing Team USA in the men's shot put competition — but Ellis wasn't going to be able to travel to Brazil to see him compete. That didn’t sit right with Willock so she started a GoFundMe — which funded his trip unbelievably quickly.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Big Ten Conference announced its outdoor track season awards on Tuesday afternoon and a pair of Boilermakers was honored.

Dani Bunch was named the women’s Big Ten Field Athlete of the Year and the Big Ten Field Athlete of the Championships, while Raheem Mostert was tabbed the men’s Big Ten Track Athlete of the Championships.
