Where they stood was unknown to Killian.  They had hung out, they had kissed, but beyond that, he just didn’t know. And, if he were being honest, he didn’t want to dwell on it. They were friends of some sort at the very least, which Killian could live with, as long as they were in each-others lives. That, afterall, was all he wanted, the very least for them to be friends, to be in each others lives. That might have been selfish of him, and he wasn’t even sure he deserved it, but Darren thought he did so far, and so Killian could live with that. 

 Killian hadn’t seen where Darren lived yet, just knew that he found himself a place when he moved back to Boston, and, that he was apparently loving it. But now here he was. It felt weird, for him to be in this place where Darren lived. The last time he had they were, in fact, living together. This was vastly different from his Back Bay townhouse. Not bad though, from what he could see, it was nice. Killian had shown up at the Downtown apartment with a bottle of wine, and a joint in his pocket (because you never showed up to someones house empty handed), and, with a huff of breath, rapped three times on the door with his knuckles, already feeling like he should just turn around, like this was a bad idea, despite them having spent time together before, them being alone, in private could be different. But he stayed, and waited for him to answer, rocking on his heels.
