Soda is careful but not careful enough, he always ends up with cuts and scratches from working on cars. And you're happy to patch them up for him.
'Mum friend' is literally the perfect partner for Soda, he sometimes needs a hug and support, he struggles on occasion, and is guilty of bottling up his feelings.
