Maine AG holds opinion on conflict with DEP chief
Attorney General William Schneider issued the following release regarding the ongoing conflict of interest issue between Department of Environmental Protection head Darryl Brown.
Schneider, responding to a request from Democrats in the House, essentially says he won't rule on the Brown's potential violation with the federal Clean Water Act until he responds to an inquiry by the Environmental Protection Agency.
The AG has until May 1 to respond to the EPA inquiry.
