I mean, I can't say I haven't been guilty of this when I was younger, but I realised it was really just a manifestation of my own insecurities and a way of basically shielding my own ego. Eventually, you have to grow past it.

but whether i actually sound it or not, whenever i rant about my own problems i always feel whiny. i feel like a child with no right to complain because i know there are so many people that have it so much worse than me. and besides, i'm in such a better place now than even a couple years ago... i should just be happy about that.
