Remember when Jesus let himself in at Alexandria and had one of Carol's cookies, and Daryl immediately told Jesus that "Well she ain't here!"

Remember when Daryl licked his fingers in the same scene where Carol had just reminded him that she had liked him first?

Remember when Carol had difficulty accepting Ezekiel's ring (let alone his prepared speech!) but showed none accepting Daryl's weaved bracelet?

And finally, do you remember how it had evolved into this sexy hot as fuck saunter and that look Daryl gave Carol?

You remember? My job here is done.

(Let us all remind AMC what these characters and actors deserve, and how we are done being strung along. We are the possible core audience, here, but never to be taken for granted.)

It depends when they can finish shooting, but right now I’d guess April? So, a long wait unfortunately.

There has been talk about a certain podcast

Few thoughts I had, besides it being painful to listen to, especially as I knew what was coming:

This was two guys (and two old friends) talking shit, but unfortunately some of it included being shitty. NR had his spin doctoring hat on, and he's talking about how much work co-producing is. And I'm here wondering how he is suddenly so involved with everything, including the story aspect, as at the time MMB "left", he put out interviews saying his story input is zero.

When it suits the wanted, chosen narrative, his story etc input is integral, and when it doesn't, he is not responsible for any of it. (And how dare any fan with half a brain question it.)

This all fits the incoherent narrative they have had all along; about Carol, MMB and how Carol first left and is now back; they can't get any story straight to save their lives.

Then NR mocks TWD/his fans again. He never mentions "factions", but he mimics fans who had questions or doubts about the great plan; "just wait and watch". I couldn't care less how Daryl got to France (one example he mentions); that was never a hot issue for me. I only wanted canon Daryl, and a huge part of Daryl is his relationship with Carol. Anything else is retcon.

I can't say what any of us or any of you should feel about the podcast, and wether or not we should feel targeted or called out by him. What I can say is that at this point in time I find NR's behavior getting very close to toxic. There are toxic fans, of course there are. But this can go both ways. We all deserve some modicum of respect.

We are (officially) getting Carol back!!

Will we get canon Caryl?

Who knows, but I choose to have hope. It's awesome to finally have something good to look forward to, or at the very least, hope for.

Daryl Dixon, the show, has had some really painful, either stupid or just wholly underwhelming moments (the goddamned slurping scene, magical Laurent being able to console "the "unconsolable" widow etc), but some good stuff too.

Sadly, IMO, the bad stuff weighed down the good, and instead of having any expectant interest or joy in the show, after the second episode I wanted to ignore the show, and did, for weeks.

After episode five aired, I watched eps 3,4 and 5 in one go. Episode five was the best, and most balanced so far. I understand and like Laurent fine now; he has mustered up some character.

That said, this season of television is the most wrongly named piece of television perhaps ever. Daryl Dixon has had little to do with anything, and the show has had very little to do with him; he was (again) inserted into someone else's (Isabelle) and some place else's (France) story, like some Eastwood -character. This should have been called The Walking Dead - Detour in France or Fall of France or hell, The Rise of France.

But, I have hope. MMB is back. That is enough, for now.

Just saw a post in a TWD Facebook group, asking if Carol and Daryl should get together.

Many answered yes, I answered that they basically already are, but there were still a hefty amount of people with the old "they're brother/sister" schtick.

After all these years, the only thing I still have to say is, is this the way they look at their brother or sister?! Because damn.

Daryl Dixon show and the chosen PR

It's been a week since the last episode of Daryl Dixon season one aired, and since Carol came back.

And what is the hubbub?

THIS.

And THIS.

Melissa McBride is back (due to popular demand!!), and we're still stuck here?

I don't know how much patience I have left, but I can tell you it's not much.

I see ton of headlines like these on all my feeds.

AMC better start re-evaluating their past and current PR strategy pretty damn fast, because I am through engaging with this clusterfuck.

No, Daryl does not "belong somewhere else" (than the home he left).

All of you characters in the French show, shut up. (Except Laurent who is a kid.) Especially Isabelle, who has the gall to try and make this about Daryl's daddy issues (!!). And then you're drowning him in sad string music, and have him find his grandfather's cross.

This is a very annoying end for season one and very frustrating expectation for S2. Are you really trying to make us believe that Daryl of all people is this conflicted?

We know Daryl cares deeply (Laurent, the nun, his comrades) but these people have nothing against going back home to Carol (and Judith).

It was awesome to finally see Carol again, and back in action.

I hope AMC knows what the fuck they're doing, because there is only one end for Daryl and Carol and there's even a special word for it; Caryl.

Daryl Dixon show just got worse ...

...and it hasn't even started yet.

I can't believe my eyes and ears, AMC. Isn't there anyone there who dares to speak up when they see a clusterfuck coming?

Did you seriously just copy the plot of Last of us for Daryl's new show? I didn't think it could get worse but this is embarrassing me as a fan, and I'm embarrassed for the actors.

Couldn't you come up with at least something that wasn't made (first the games and quite freshly on TV) just months ago, and receiving nominations? Way to show how desperate you are getting. Or does this level of stupidity exist?

You had your own thing going, with two core characters who have dynamite chemistry, and you choose to copy Last of Us instead? (I actually wonder if you copied it's ending too.)

I'm not dignifying this with watching it or promoting it by talking about it further. I'm going to be quiet and stop talking about this show (not Daryl or Carol though), it's too embarrassing to talk about.

Last of us is a (game and) show about two people forging a connection in the worst possible time and place. Instead of honoring your own franchise 's two such characters, you're trying to copy someone else's. Without the depth there, you will fail.

Go see Last of Us instead if you haven't. It is beautiful.

PS- I've played both Last of Us games, though it's not my gaming genre. The characterizations and the story is beautiful and horrible at the same time.
