Dash Divination
I often will take a moment before opening tumblr and get into a divination space, just to see what comes up through my dash.
Today, it was pretty pointed. First up, was a very poignant version of Justice, seen here: http://resonance-of-libra.tumblr.com/post/153992401146 (sorry for the crappy link, I’m on mobile.) Little lovely herb harvest, chopping off her own head!
Then came along a card in the creation process, this one Strength, seen here: http://resonance-of-libra.tumblr.com/post/153993442251/just-made-a-new-post-on-patreon-after-a-long . A woman, splitting a sword with her bare hands. Intense.
What is cool about this pair being the ones that came today through this round of dash-divination, is that in other tarot methods my birth card could be Strength instead of Justice. I’ve been struggling with my Justice side a lot recently. I’ve been falling into the Sword of Justice archetype a lot more than the Scales of Justice. And it’s always been in my head that Temperance is what I’m supposed to grow into, to temper down the warrior in me. Strength, though is has MORE of a connection to my birth card set, has never struck a chord with me till now.
I think I really needed to see this version to have that connection solidified though. Because getting from Justice to Temperance in one leap wasn’t really working. It’s like … it was telling me to change the Swords into Cups, out of nothing. Or, you know, not be led by my head, but by my heart. Sounds easier that way, but let me tell you, it’s a hard leap to make! And then Strength, the woman with the lion imagery. It was essentially meaningless to me. I’ve never found any resonance in it. Yet, a woman splitting a sword with her bare hands? THAT’S where I want to be. Not fighting the same battles over and over again, but disarming the situation totally. It rings so much more true to my soul than the alchemy of Temperance. It’s not removing an essential part of who I am, but modifying it to be more effective.
So yeah. That’s an example of dash-divination in Libra’s world. Anyone do this trick?
