After their little discussion in the hospital room, Fitz knew he wanted to get Peter Parker a special little gift, but what would be the best idea? He was great at science, but he had Tony Stark’s lab. He was Spider Man, but he seemed to have everything he would need to do the job properly. It was then that Fitz decided to gift the man a simple key card and letter; each left in the scientist’s drop box for pickup whenever he next went in for work. Hopefully, he would appreciate the thought and accept the holiday gift.
Peter read the letter and looked down at the key card. Honestly, he'd found that it never hurt to have back-up labs he could go to, and it would be awesome if he got to do science with Fitz one day, but even if he didn't, the gift was still touching. Peter did swing by the lab later that day, and put a gift card from the place where he'd gotten pizza that day in the hospital. The note that came with it said simply 'From Peter', and while 'Peter' was a common name, the chicken-scratch-from-hell would clue Fitz in to the gift being from another scientist.
