Exactly. One free jumping session isn't going to "ruin" a horse. Tuscon obviously doesn't know you, your horse, what you were doing with him, how you work with him, what his personality is like - Tuscon doesn't know ANYTHING. Not nearly enough to even come close to being able to judge anything about you and your horse. NO ONE can judge ANYTHING from ONE photo or even TWO, and same goes for videos. I am loving the fact that people think that I am ruining Gus by ONE free jumping session. I wanted to see what he would do, where he was at. It helps gauge what I am going to do with him. Goodness. I barely had to ask him to move out, he just did it. He was having an absolute blast.
GROUND MANNERS ARE SO FREAKING IMPORTANT. Oh my god, seriously. Yes, timelines are good and all that with sunshine and sprinkles, but there is no such thing as spending too much time with ground manners. My horse is is great on the ground most of time, but I NEVER fail to lunge her before a ride, and I will not saddle her up until we've performed a proper join up together. I feel it seriously effects our ride. Ground manners = important. Sarah is such a great equestrian for spending time on them

To the person asking about the bond: It like becoming best friends with someone, or falling in love. It has nothing to do with spending tons of time with them. You can spend all your time with a horse and never create a real bond with them
