Updating the art for a reaaally old character <3
Captain Kurrosa! Lost her wings but gained control of a pirate crew after being kidnapped and fighting the ship’s old captain to the death.
Been thinking on how to make dassen wings more visually interesting for a while. Realised what I wanted for them and used Goose to test it out <3 I'm really enjoying it! Lots of potential for expressions/interactions this way!
The flats for this came out pretty well imo! Trying to add some not-very-subtle implications, here, with his right hand & her left side.
"I've never made a friend on my own, before!" -Keeyata, before dragging poor Scaychie around half of Heck'ne.
Before they became sisters ❤️ Just trying to get a little bit of energy back into my art!
‘I think he’d just want you to be happy. You’re only harpy.’
Ali’ka looked at her, and for a moment Scaychie thought she’d said the wrong thing— But then tears welled in Ali’ka’s eyes and her head fell onto the dassen’s shoulder with a shaky breath.
‘I am only harpy,’ she replied. ‘I’m tired of being mala’kala. I never wanted this.’
Just a quick design for a character who won't be introduced for ages lol
