Combined Training for Green Data Center Design, Energy Efficiency and Cost Management
Technical Seminar for Green Data Center Design and Implementation -
EU Code of Conduct plus Energy and Cost Management for Data Center Efficiency
Powering data centers and cooling facilities require large amount of energy consumption and electricity, as does maintaining security of the buildings.
The technical seminar consists of two parts - Energy & Cost Management and EU Code of Conduct for Efficient Data Center Design - which focus on the regulatory implications and industry trends that are leading the way toward sustainable practices, and determine the business cost of failing to do so. In addition, we deliver measurement metrics developed by the industry and support your migration to energy efficient data centers.
Part I - EU Code of Conduct for Data Center Efficiency
In response to the rising challenges facing data centre operators, owners, systems designers, equipment manufacturers and customers the European Commission have introduced a Code of Conduct for Data Centres Energy Efficiency (in addition to TIA-942 and Uptime Standards). The Code recommend best practice solutions. We introduces the Code, the benefits it brings, the levels of commitment required, the technical background to the best practices, data collection and reporting together with real examples.
This 2-day section enables individuals working in data centres to improve power consumptions. The Code encompasses topics associated with new data centre planning and development, and the tuning and operation of existing facilities. Service providers and equipment manufacturers will take a particular interest as the Code takes into account the full range of technologies used in the data centre and its impact in how procurement decisions are made.

Part II - Energy and Cost Management for Data Center
Facilities Efficiency in Current and New Designed Data Centers
The 3-day section will examine sustainable strategies for electrical, cooling, ventilation, fire protection, and security systems. Our discussion will address tier level, right-sizing of the systems as well as the potential cost savings. In addition, we will introduce energy auditing - metering and reporting - and preemptive maintenance concepts for data center facilities management.
Energy-Saving Servers Optimization
In the pursuit of a more powerful system, energy consumption inevitably sky rockets. Through careful optimization, calculation and planning, energy savings can be achieved without sacrificing processing power. We will examine how that can be applied to various types of data centers, and address issues relating to redundancy, virtualization, reliability, lifecycle management, networking, application consolidation and cloud computing.
