Butterfly Innovations is a user-centred, research-driven edutech start-up that aims to create an open and connected higher education ecosystem using technology.
We have conducted comprehensive user research (with more than 1000 candidates from all over the country) to validate the problems we are addressing and the approach to solving them. We are privately testing our beta right now and have an aggressive plan to launch our product in the market at the end of this year.

Your designation: Data Analyst
What skills should you have?
This role includes being inquisitive, asking questions, doing “what if” analysis and questioning existing assumptions and processes. Technically speaking, you should have:
A proficient knowledge of predictive modelling and statistical computing
A working understanding of analytical software such as R, SPSS or SAS
The proven ability to work with relational database MySQL and knowledge of NoSQL database would be a plus
A working knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an eye for detail
Proficiency in using MS Excel
A background in Statistics/Econometrics/Applied Math/Computer Science is not mandatory but would be a plus
You should be able to communicate your ideas orally and visually and be ethically responsible to deal with user data. And, since you’d be working in a start-up, you should be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and have the ability to multitask.
You will work closely on statistical modelling and analysis with large data structures. You will analyse, design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and document data systems that may involve predictive, simulation, and optimization models. You will also device new algorithm approaches to solving difficult and challenging quantitative problems.
