Australian founders were paid an average $US54,102 a year while revenues were still 0. monthly revenues were $US1-$US1000 -> $US36,207 annual average. monthly revenues reached $US10,000-$100,000 -> $US92,647 annual average. monthly revenue hit $US100,000-$US1 million -> $US155,000 annual average. Reasons why they are not paying themselves more after they have reached higher monthly revenues? “More revenue coming in means more money available to pay back out again without impacting the long-term sustainability of the company,” says the research company Compass.
