[Lumey lets out a chuckle, rubbing the back of their head.]

"Eheheh, "Mx". You make me sound all fancy!"

"Now, "marks"... Might you mean those children Mister Data is keeping a gander on? Well, I haven't much else to say apart from how excited it makes me! A real, true mystery! Like one of those old Sheer Look novels! We're set to collect our odds and sods and piece together this jigsaw puzzle and I cannot wait to see what the picture reveals!"

[Data pipes up, a hint of annoyance and sarcasm in his voice.]

"Truly my excitement is unparalleled."

[Lumey rushes over to the camera as fast as they can, bursting with excitement. Data, on the other hand, has gotten up from his chair to pick up the discarded papers.]

"'Ello 'ello, chaps!! Lumey Calzone at your service! Full of beans and ready for a proper chin wag!"

[It seems they're more than ready for a chat with you.]

"Soooo? May IIIIII?"

[Data seems to think for a moment, observing as Lumey joyously bounces in place with a huuuuge smile on their face. He then sighs and responds.]

"Oh, fine. Sure. Just make sure to put down the-"

[Data is cut off by Lumey excitedly tossing up all of the papers they were holding.]

"EEEEEEHEHHEHEHEEE!!! Jolly GOOD!!!"

"... the... stack of... papers..."

[Lumey cuts Data off as they enter the room, seeming rather astonished and intrigued by the set up.]

"Oooh, I didn't think you were having a chit chat! Who are they? Might I join in? Oh please, sir! It would be the bees knees! You know how giddy I get with meeting new people!"

[Data only responds by letting out a sigh. Lumey's expression seems to fall as they smell something in the air.]

"... Sir, are you... smoking in your office?"

[Data butts out his cigarette, though without any real sense of urgency.]

"No."

Your assistant looks a little ominous, not going to lie. I guess glowing eyes are in

". . . What... might you mean by su-"

[The lights are flicked on suddenly, startling Data. A rather chipper voice speaks up before he can continue his train of thought.]

"Siiiiir~! Hellooooo!"

[They continue on as Data silently sits there and sighs, seeming a smidge bit annoyed.]

"What might you be doing recording yourself in the daaaark, you silly goose? Haha!"

"... Hello, Lumey."

Well, at least you’re not overworking yourself by doing 100% of absolutely everything

"Please. While I may be perfectly capable of doing such, even I might begrudgingly admit when I am in need of assistance. At least they are competent enough to work as professionally as I. They haven't need of me watching over them like a school teacher, and I count my blessings for that."

"That would have been true when I first began work here, but as of late, the work required demands more attention than even I can provide. However... recall how I expressed slight annoyance at the knowledge that I would not be alone today. I had forgotten to cancel their shift for the day, which puts a slight wrench into matters."

"The current mission I am undertaking is nothing that they should know about."

"... I can assure you quite well that I am not so pathetic as to purchase something of this manner for myself. No. Rather, the existence of this mug is the fault of my assistant. I have been gifted dozens more of a similar type ever since I hired them. I do not know why. I prefer not to question them."
