Fic: When Will Those Three Cherries Line Up? [Complete]
Summary: There it was.
That hollow feeling inside of his chest like his heart had disappeared entirely. Everything seemed to go still. It was a phantom ache. It happened with his missing eye on occasion.
It wasn't real. It was the frayed nerve endings of a missing limb and the faulty signals they were sending to his brain.
Daniel was gone and it was as though Armand had cut off his hand with Nicki's axe.
Daniel was never coming back.Then…footsteps.
Or: Post-Akasha reunion fic…maybe…if a person with the wrong face and wrong voice and wrong body can convince Armand that's what's happening. Good thing Armand has no trust issues whatsoever and is used to good things happening to him.

Treating a Jewish writer as suspect until proven innocent is deeply problematic.
The Hannah Moscovitch discourse has gotten way out of hand and a good number of what I am choosing to believe are well meaning people are sliding hard and fast into antisemitism.
Assuming that Hannah Moscovitch is a zionist in 2026 based on the fact that she had gone to Israel 30 years ago was already problematic.
But now that she has made a point of saying she is not - it's still not good enough and people are calling her a liar (also deeply problematic).
Things I've seen said about her in the last 24 hours:
(Cut for potentially triggering antisemitic tropes).
"She only did this because she was getting backlash." Yeah, because she shouldn't be expected to explain why she's a "good Jew" because the default is that she must be a "bad Jew." People were making allegations against her with absolutely no evidence whatsoever.
"Well, she still went to Israel and lived there." Yeah, 30 years ago and seemingly came away from it disillusioned. That's exactly what every movement wants: people who were impacted by propaganda and came out with different views.
"I don't trust anything she says." Given we have no reason to think she's ever lied to any of us as individuals or to the fandom, this just plays into the trope that a Jewish person isn't trustworthy.
"She's lying to make more money." I mean do I even have to explain what's wrong with this one?
"Hannah hates brown people and Muslims because she's a Jew." There is no evidence of this even if you think her writing could be more sensitive. Insensitive writing is not proof of malicious hate. Framing a Jewish writer as an exploiter or abuser of minorities is also deeply problematic. Pitting Jewish individuals against non-white minorities has been a popular trope for white supremacists especially in the American South.
I'm going to leave out the literal slurs I've seen thrown around.
Expecting a Jewish writer in Hollywood to prove their allegiance or otherwise be seen as other is deeply problematic.
By all means, criticize her writing. But let's stop trying to find reasons to villainize a Jewish writer because she is Jewish. Stop starting your criticism with "A Jewish writer doing x..." Nope, anything you are about to say is almost certainly tinged with antisemitism.
I think the IWTV/TVL writers have biases that all people have. I think the IWTV/TVL writers can do better about how they ensure Black voices are in the room or ensuring that the audience knows what their process looks like if they are using the Hollywood equivalent of sensitivity readers. But that doesn't mean we use their marginalized identities as weapons against them.

Chapter Thirteen Snippet:
"Nearly twice as long this time," Armand argued. "Lay down, beloved."
Daniel really didn't need to be told twice, laying back on the sofa. He closed his eyes thinking the plan was just to let him sleep it off. Instead, Armand used his thumbnail to break the skin on his fingertips, using his blood to heal Daniel's battered skin.
It could not completely remove the sun damage. He was still badly sunburned, but the open wounds were closed.
Armand cupped his cheek gently. Daniel opened his eyes. Sometimes it was still surprising how gentle Armand could be. It was also surprising how fucking batshit he could be. The gremlin contained multitudes.
"I didn't realize," Armand admitted. "How alone I was with Louis until you arrived in the penthouse."
