I agree with all of that. what bothers me is that it's creating this weird thing where 1. you can't criticize his actions bcs he's so cooool and 2. keeps people from recognizing or acknowledging problems.

the problem isn't that he's going online or whatever, it's how people are responding

the response has this really weird nature about it that's quite problematic. like idk if people realize you can like some things he does and really disagree with others. your feelings toward someone - especially a policy maker with such a widespread variety of topics - can be mixed. like I agree with him on a lot of things and thing he's a dang good president on somethings, but he's made some horrible, horrible calls and decisions about others that I very much disagree with. I can adore him for his healthcare reform, but detest his approach concerning missile strikes, for example.

I really like the way you explained it, yeah. The response from that kind of attempt to communicate to the younger generation is having an unintended atmospheric shift that could be problematic. Definitely.
