I'm actually pretty bored right now
More tumblr it is, I guess.
So my parents are watching this popular 'date' show on the Shaw Cable channel mandarin/chinese 520. I think it's Talentvision or Fairchild? Anyway, so they always watch it for some reason. Haha. And my mom watches it too, so it's weird. Like if it was just my dad I'd understand.. (there are some good looking women LOLLL!). But I think it's pretty lame haha.
Basically it's about these 24 female 'contestants' in Mainland China who are 'up for grabs' and this one dude comes in and tries to take home one of the girls. (Sounds sketchy I know :s) Well, first they show a couple of videos about his personality, characteristics, life views, what he wants from a girl, and they ask him questions about it. It's basically a dating show. There are so many people sitting in the audience haha. It's quite surprising really. Anyway, the show's not bad, but it's really weird cause there are some weird guys that come onto the show haha. Like most of them are really rich and they're CEOs or bosses of large companies in China. I really wonder what happens to the successful girl and guy after the show. Do they become friends or something..? I imagine they probably go out or something.. but what if they have second thoughts about each other or it turns out horribly haha. What a waste of time to go on the show then.. and what do they tell their kids? "Oh yeah so your mom and I met on a dating show and I just picked a random one that looked good" or something? LOL. Well there's nothing wrong about meeting someone on the show but still..
ANYWAY! the whole thing is really weird but if you're into that stuff go check it out. I don't know the name but it's airing right now (8:00pm - 9:00pm PST) on 520 if you have Shaw Cable in BC or on the West Coast. I think you'll know what I'm talking about if you have asian parents or that mando channel on TV haha.
