Sushi Sai Japanese Restaurant. #dateurself
it’s nice to go places by myself, frankly
There are some interesting ships out there, but ever since that Sombra dating herself post, I find myself hoping Sombra/Sombra, her just literally dating herself, becomes a thing, as bizarre as that sounds.
I can try my best to make more Sombra/Sombra posts for you, if you’d like!

Found Oyster. #dateurself
FOUND OYSTER
Neighborhood: Silver Lake | Genre: Seafood | Price: $$ | Again? Yup
Was craving oysters for some inexplicable reason (I never crave seafood) and went on a quest. We tried two different places, struck out at each, and ended up here. Everything is excellent, fresh, and flavorful. Bread is thick and charred. Crudo is dense and looks like beautiful little petit fours. Everyone that works here is attractive and nice. Craving fulfilled.
SUSHI SAI JAPANESE RESTAURANT
Neighborhood: Monterey Park Genre: Sushi/Japanese | Price: $$ | Again? Yup
This place is like the restaurant embodiment of Date Urself philosophy. It's run by a woman who decides how many customers she lets in depending on how tired she is because "health is more important than money." She is more likely to let you in if you say you only want hot food because she makes the sushi and another guy cooks the fish. Get the gindara and the spicy tuna rolls, but don’t stay too long so she can go home already.
We're back. People are still trash. 🗑️ Took a long break from this because it got tiring. Taking in gross, offensive things that people say to you is one thing - taking time to document it is another. Back then, I wanted to stop being so cynical about people. Now, I don't think I've succeeded because I think I'm even more cynical. But the whole idea behind all this, of having fun with and by yourself, even if you're surrounded by trash, hasn't changed. Who knows, maybe you'll find some treasure buried in there. So I'm back here to draw about it, and mostly to document more restaurants, bars, and other #dateurself moments. We'll see how long this goes for, but for now, there's a lot to catch up on.
