Dating!Yoongi
The both of you were friends first, you two meeting through Hoseok. At first Yoongi was like ‘yay another one of Hoseok’s friends that probably won’t shut up just like him’, yet his attitude changed when he finally realized that while everyone was talking, you were just sitting there listening instead of joining in.
You were so sure he hated you, to start with. He never spoke to you, yet then he rarely spoke to anyone except to tell the others to shut up. However, you were wrong, he did like you, he just didn’t know how to show he liked you.
When he first started to realize he liked you, he was so confused, he was feeling a feeling that he had only ever felt for Holly before and it was weird. It wasn’t until he asked Namjoon something about it, him thinking he was sick or something, that Wisdom Mon came out and was like bro you like her.
Yoongi then made the mistake of telling Taehyung, even though Taehyung promised not to tell, he knew he should have known better than to trust that boy. Yoongi still never made his move, even when he knew the chances of Taehyung telling you. And even when Taehyung ‘accidentally’ told about you about Yoongi’s crush, he did nothing, except attempt to murder Taehyung. Yet, you took what Taehyung said as a joke, since you honestly believed very little of what that boy said.
He did nothing until Jimin said he was thinking of asking you out. Jimin was joking, but Yoongi didn’t know that. After that Jimin was enemy number one in his mind and Yoonmin was dead.
Don’t expect some big fancy bouquet of flowers or anything like that when he asks you out, he literally just wanted to ask you before Jimin could and honestly considered just texting you. Yet, he thought you’d take a text as a joke, that’s why he when he finally did ask you out he practically just picked you up and carried you out of the living room and into the kitchen away from the other guys.
You didn’t expect him to ask you out. He sure as hell didn’t expect you to say yes. You two hadn’t even been dating five minutes, and your relationship was already full of surprises.
Your first date he’d be like ten minutes late, not that it surprises you because you know how easily he gets caught up in his music, and of course his reason for being late it he was working on a new song and didn’t want to leave until he finished it. Yet, the upside to him being late, is that you know the guys have a new song to work on and you love that.
The first date wouldn’t be fancy, he’d just take you to a little cafe and despite the fact it’s kind of late, you would both probably get some coffee; since who needs sleep when you can stay up all night on a caffeine high. It wouldn’t be very fancy, but it was nice and lovely, something you hadn’t expected from someone everyone considered was so cold and harsh.
The date would be going perfectly, that was until the cafe owner, who was old enough to be your grandmother, told Yoongi it was so refreshing to see such an adorable and in love couple in her cafe. After that, the date was slightly awkward, but only because the two of you weren’t really a couple but neither knew how to say no we aren’t.
He’d walk you home, not because he wanted to do some cheesy crap like kiss you on your doorstep, but because he didn’t want you to possibly get mugged or something at night. Yet, he couldn’t lie, when you kissed his cheek before you went into your apartment, he finally realized maybe the date didn’t go as bad as he thought.
The next day, the teasing from the guys would be ridiculous; and the number of times they asked if you two kissed would make you want to knock them out, but you were nicer than that. Yet, Yoongi wasn’t and almost murdered Hoseok and Taehyung before finally kicking them all out of the studio.
It would be a couple days before Yoongi asked you out on another date, mostly because he would be reconsidering you every showing interest in him and finding it hard to believe you didn’t just go out with him for pity. However, after Jimin told him that you had liked him for a while just thought he didn’t like you, Yoongi realized it wasn’t just pity, and Yoonmin was resuscitated because he realized Jimin was just trying to help him.
The second date would flow much better, it would be something sweet and simple, like a stroll through the park at dusk with a picnic in the park. The picnic wasn’t his idea, but Jin suggested it, so he listened despite his original idea for you to both just walk around the park. The date would be going perfectly, until you started to get cold in the brisk air, he notices but doesn’t think much of it until you are literally shivering. Then slides in this suave part of him, that Yoongi didn’t even realize was in him, as he moves closer to you and pulls you into him as he wraps his jacket around your shoulder. You’re suddenly warmer but not from his jacket, but from the fact you’re all but sitting in his lap and you are leaning against his chest.
Because of a unexpectedly suave guy named Yoongi, you had your first kiss in the middle of the park, at eleven at night, surrounded by half eaten dishes of food Jin had made earlier that day.; you couldn’t lie, you wouldn’t take it back for anything in the world. And the blush on Yoongi’s cheeks afterwards, made it all worth it.
Dates after that varied from casual as hell, just lounging on the sofa watching a movie and eating pizza, to fancy and elegant, yet the fancy side happened only once when he took you to a really nice restaurant and the two you both realized you’d rather lay on the sofa than wear a suit and nice dress to eat bite sized foods that cost more than both your outfits cost together.
You two would be considered somewhat of an unlikely couple, but that’s just because Yoongi has proclaimed his neck pillow was his lover and girlfriend so many times, it shocked people he was talking about a real girlfriend when he said lover. Yet, despite that, you both became ‘goals’ for so many people due to how well you both got together and how great the relationship was going and all.
Arguments wouldn’t be common by any means, however when they did start Yoongi would usually just shut up and let you ‘win’; in all truthfulness, he was just too lazy to continue arguing, plus he thought you looked cute when mad and would rather watch you than continue yelling. Yet, the few times he wouldn’t stop and the argument continued, it usually ended up with you in tears and him feeling like a horrible person and begging you to quit crying because he was sorry and you were right.
You two would be dating like six months before you both labeled your relationship. One day you would just casually ask him what you were to him, he’d be like my girlfriend, and you’d just be like you never asked me to be your girlfriend, then he’d be like I thought it was assumed since we’ve been dating for so long. And that’s the story of how you two became official.
After that, your dates would be much more private, as in in the house not the park at midnight. The studio and his living room were hot spots for your dates, mostly because he was always either at the studio or just wanted to lay on the sofa with you in his lap instead of going out.
Studio dates would be your favorite; however, more often than not you would want to murder him at least one time during them. Maybe it was the fact he gave you rules to abide by, or maybe it was the fact he was completely serious when he threatened to kick you out; either way as much as his rules angered you, you still loved those dates. You would love studio dates, because despite the rules he gave you, which you deliberately break often, you love just being with him. The only thing you don’t like is how he’ll use his authority voice, that he usually reserves for the maknae line, on you when he just can’t handle you being such a distraction to his creative process.
You loved how he prized your opinion more than the others. When he had some new lyrics he wanted someone to listen to, it was you, or when he wanted someone to tell him what they thought of a music track he made, it was you. Even if the guys had basically a whole album together, if you said you felt one song really didn’t fit it, Yoongi would be working hard to make it fit or to write a new song that did; since your opinion meant more to him than most of the guys’ opinions did.
Yoongi is possessive, not badly possessive, just in the way he wants everyone to know you are his and oh everyone does know. He won’t call you pet names in public, private maybe, but public no. He doesn’t like being called pet names either, he’d rather you call him one of his many names, anything but a pet name. Yet, since he hates pet names you’re gonna call him every pet name you can think of jagi, jagiyah, baby, babe, sweetie, honey; you’d also call him swag master and salt, when being sarcastic or picking on him. He’d complain and say he hates it, but you know he lowkey loves it.
He won’t be big on you taking photos of him, but he literally has a folder of hundreds of photos of you, he took when you weren’t watching him or paying attention. It might seem weird and borderline stalker material how many photos he has of you, however it’s just something he keeps that helps him through his days when he can’t see your gorgeous face.
Sometimes even when you were there, he would look at his favorite photo of you; all you would see is him sitting at his computer with his gummy smile, and you would catch a glimpse of a photo on his phone, one of you that he edited and added some cute little pink sparkly border on.
Despite how many times he told you not to sit in his lap, you’d always end up in his lap, since you knew he secretly loved it, he just didn’t want to admit it. After that his whole thing against you being in his lap, went out the window, the moment he realized just how much he actually liked holding you in his lap. When in private, you are in his lap, even when you aren’t in his lap, you’re about to get in his lap. His hands would constantly be on your waist and his chin on your shoulder, unless he was writing or typing.
He’s hold you close and start murmuring sweet things like how much he loved you and stuff in your ears; before long he’d run out of things to say, so he’ll start rapping to Agust D and you would be so confused from how he went from ‘I love you jagiya’ to ‘A to the G to the U to the STD’ and he’d just be like ‘my mixtape is sweet and I like whispering things that are as sweet as you to you’. Which to that, you of course wouldn’t argue because you love his mixtapes more than he loves his mixtapes.
PDA would be something he’d have to warm up to, at first his reaction would be to move away from you or push you away from him when you tried to hold his hand or hug him. Before long, he’d be fine with it, but only if he was the one that started it, if you tried to hold his hand he’d move away, but you can bet your ass his hand will be on your back when you are standing or walking, and his hand rests your thigh when the both of you are sitting.
He likes teasing you, he’ll pretend like he’s gonna kiss you then kiss your forehead and sit back down, and you’ll just be like what and so confused. He isn’t a fan of pda, but he’ll still tease you in public by placing his hand on your hip or lower back, and if say you’re in a restaurant his hand will be rubbing your thigh or squeezing your knee.
You’ll constantly steal his clothing, he’ll act like he hates it, but he lowkey loves it. It is days when he sees you wearing one of his shirts, which looks like a dress on you, and you have your hair up looking effortless, that he realizes just how much he loves you.
Lazy days with your head laying on his chest and you wearing one of his white tee shirts, are his favorite kinds of days. Lazy days with you in general are his favorite kind of days.
When you are bothering him, despite how much he loves you he’ll say something like ‘I love Holly more than you’, then you would point out Holly doing something like chewing on one of Yoongi’s shoes and he suddenly changes his mind and loves you more.
You’re practically Holly’s mom with how much that dog loves you and you are around him, so randomly while hanging out with the other guys one day, they would ask who would get custody of Holly if you two broke up. Which would start an argument, it wouldn’t last long but it would end with Yoongi saying he bought Holly so he’d keep Holly.
When Yoongi was in a bad mood, you’d be the only person that could calm him down, no matter how angry he was you’d always be able to calm him down. Yoongi isn’t as explosive as some when he’s angry, yet you’d be the only person that could take his 5000% done with everything and change it to 5% done with everything.
Everyone would see him as this soft looking not soft person, however only you would know the truth. That he’s a squishy soft looking person, who is soft for you but not soft towards anyone else, and that he’ll only go from hating the world and yelling at everyone to quietly cuddling only when he’s with you.
