The interviewer was like "I can set you up..." like dude..... He only said it's difficult to find someone genuine to have a stable relationship with, he doesn't need any help to go on dates and find girls. People are making him seem desperate at this point, and I totally get why he'd be pissed right now.

To be honest, I think this is the exact reason why he said he didn't want to give any further information.

If he said he isn't interested in meeting people with blind dates and shit like that, people would come at him and say he doesn't want to meet his special one and just said it for PR

If he said he's dating around and meeting different women, they'd say he's a fuckboy.

There's always different ways to twist one single word to the scenario that fits the narrative you want it to go to.

Here's my take:

He said he's looking for that special person to spend the rest of his life with (undirectly stating he's single right now), and he said it was an honest answer and I totally believe him in this. He also said he didn't want to give any further information, clearly because he knows how some people are and he doesn't want people twisting his words to make him look even more desperate or put him in a bad light.

He gave the statement everybody was waiting for, but people keep expecting even more from him. You got the "I'm single" statement, now let it go. And I hope interviewers stop with the "I'll set you up with somebody", it isn't funny (especially when you aren't friends with the person you're saying this to).

I can’t believe people are still holding onto the idea that Chris’ statements about being single, and not wanting to talk about it more than people already have is a lot bigger than what it is. Like let this go. We all got the answer that tons of us already knew because we aren’t naive, and that some of you needed to hear to calm your minds and that still isn’t enough to satisfy some of you. Whenever this man gets into a relationship, his fans will know because it’ll be reputably confirmed by his team or himself. Stop making up or believing fanfics and BS gossip sites, because the stuff that’s been talked about with him for the past year turned out to be 100% false and some of you can’t handle the idea that you put a ton of energy into nonsense. AGREED! Imagine if you are single and your friend's friends friend says they will set u up with someone. U not really gonna take it. U don't know that person.

Chris answered his fans question now like him, should move on. Don't let his personal life affect yours. Let's support him for what he does. Acting. He's an incredible actor and he has worked so hard to be where he is now. Let's appreciate his acting and the amazing movies he is in.

I saw a TikTok where people are saying Chris was drunk during the “laser focus” answer and, NO he was nervous. As someone who suffers from constant anxiety and depression i recognised some behavioursin Chris sometimes. His answer was also most relatable to me, as in 30s and single. It’s not easy when your opinion of yourself is low to open up and trust someone completely. Also the older you get the high the expectations! I hope he can find someone, let’s manifest that for him!
