I find the concept of "getting the ick" (a sudden lack of attraction towards somebody you were previously attracted to) outside of a sexual or romantic situation to be kinda insulting. Your partner shouldn't have to try to be sexually/romantically attractive at all times.

I think pressuring people into maintaining this unachievable goal in fear of their relationship ending if they stop being sexy for just a moment is only going to cause more heartbreak and resentment.

I am using gender neutral language here because it does apply to everyone. But I'll be dishonest if I didn't also point out that it affects women a whole lot more. It even affects women who aren't in a romantic relationship nor seek one.
