Closer Look: Boyfriend Mark

Match: In terms of personality, Mark would prefer someone who was more quirky than soft-spoken. He’s rather introverted, so he needs someone who could pull him out of his shell and make him laugh. Also, he would not be the first to approach the person he likes, so someone need to more on the sociable side. The person should make dating feel effortless and is easy-going. Of course, they should also get along well with his hyungs because Mark would not be to take sides if any conflict occurs. In terms of appearance, he probably prefer someone unique looking or isn’t the traditional beauty but personality matters more. Since he grew up in the west, he’ll probably want girls who dress more boyish or cool than the feminine, pastel style of Koreans. 

Affection: Since he’s so young and inexperienced in dating, Mark would be really shy about showing affection. It was adorable how his cheeks would turn slightly pink every time he tried to hold your hand. When no one is looking, he’ll suddenly kiss you on the lips making you laugh which only makes smile in return. You also love it when he wraps his arm around you to pull you close into his chest because you can feel his heartbeat speed up. As time went on and the two of you became closer, he’d become bolder and more expressive with his feelings. 

Rage: Mark has a really easy-going personality that it was rare for him to even raise his voice. The first time that you saw him angry was when the two of you were walking together in a crowd, and someone shoved you. You would have been crushed by people if Mark hadn’t grabbed you in time. At that moment, Mark was ready to find and charge down that person but you calmed him down. The only times that he loses his temper is when the people who he deeply cares about are threatened or hurt. Otherwise, he’ll probably be the type to hold his annoyance back or keep silent when he’s irritated. He would be the sulking kind instead of the explosive anger. 

Keen: As someone who is so talented in various areas, it’s no surprise that he’ll inspire you to do better. It’s important in a relationship that the other person helps you improve no matter which area. While you taught Mark to be expressive and sociable, he challenged you to try new hobbies like singing or dancing. It’s also a fun bonding experience having Mark teach you how to rap and you failing miserably making the two of you laugh.

Dating Mark would be like...

Mark would be a little shy at first. He’d probably meet you through a friend or if you approached him first. When he realizes he has a crush on you, he’d get a little nervous if he spoke to you. He’d get tongue-tied whenever you walked into the room. After getting to know you, he’d open up more. Then, he’d gain the courage to ask you out unless you got to it first. Either way, Mark would be happy.

Mark would probably be shy when it comes to PDA. He wouldn’t be the type of guy to shove his tongue down his throat. He’d do subtle forms of PDA, like temple kisses and hand squeezes while you walked somewhere together. When you got alone he’d have no problems kissing and hugging you. He’d crave physical affection from you often, needing to feel you.

Mark would enjoy spending time a night indoors with you, even if you just watched movies on the couch together. You’d get lots of cuddles and kisses and he’d make popcorn. While watching the movie, he’d lay in your lap while you run your fingers through his hair. Sometimes it’s so relaxing that he’d fall asleep halfway through the movie.

Mark would love to take you to the beach. His ideal date would be at the beach. He’d be the type of guy to tell you to get dressed and he’d pick you up, driving to some unknown location. He’d surprise you with a beach trip. He’d be so happy and you’d sit on the beach together, soaking up the sun and having snacks together. Maybe, if you’d be up for it, he’d play frisbee with you. He’d hug you before going home saying, “Thanks for coming with me.”

He would like buying you things. He’d buy you gifts you didn’t ask for. You’d always love them because he’d know exactly what you liked. You’d protest if it was something expensive but he’d always counter you saying, “I wouldn’t have bought it for you if I didn’t want to. Just accept it.” And you would accept it after fussing at him a little more.

He’d offer to help you study and then start dozing off when you asked him to test you on the psychology terms. You’d say, “Come on. There are just a couple more flashcards left!” And he’d say, “You know I hate studying. Psychology makes me sleepy. So boring…” And you’d roll your eyes, snatch the flashcards from him and study on your own. The worst part was that Mark would fall asleep right after that.

Mark isn’t much of a cook but he loves to eat. If Mark slept over, you’d find him in the kitchen in the middle of the night with a pot on the stove making ramen. He’d say, “Do you want some too babe?” You’d rub sleep from your eyes and say, “Mark, it’s three in the morning.” And he’d say, “So? A guy’s gotta eat, right?” You’d smile and shake your head. You’d end up watching him eat until he was finished. Then you’d take his hand and lead him back to bed.

Mark would definitely get jealous if you hung out with guys he didn’t know. He might not say anything but he’d be burning with jealousy on the inside. If a guy got too close to you or looked at you for too long, he’d put his arm around you to show those guys that you’re his girlfriend.

Mark would call you the nights he couldn’t see you to ask how your day was. He’d ask you how your day was, make sure you ate a good meal, and he’d tell you how much he misses you.

Mark hates to fight. He’d be the type to avoid confrontation when he knew you were angry about something. Sometimes he’d even avoid you. It’s not because he doesn’t care but because he needs time to think about the things he wants to say. He definitely wouldn’t want you to stay mad at him. He wouldn’t want to say something stupid to get you upset. One of his worst fears is losing you. When he figured things out, he’d approach you and he’d talk to you calmly. If whatever happened was his fault, he would apologize. You wouldn’t be able to stay mad at him for too long so he’d hug you and whisper how much he loves you in his ear.

He’d be a passionate lover when it came down to sex. He’d like fucking you nice and slow, filling you up deeply with each thrust. He’d whisper dirty things into your ear and he’d plant tiny kisses on your neck, your cheeks and collar bone. He’d make eye contact with you so that he can see your lips part and how you were responding to him.
