Well today is Askblog Appreciation on The Lorax Anniversary week, so here we go:
I have a lot of favorite Once-lers, I can't narrow it down to just one. So I guess I'll do it by WHY I love those askblog so much.
Overall Favorite: Onag-ler(aka the guy who got me in this fandom)
Onag was the first Once-ler I was able to talk to OFF anon. I was really shy about joining the fandom at first, there were so many quality askblogs and I found them all kind of intimidating. I followed up on their stories, but I was never confident enough to interact with one.
Until This guy. He started out pretty late, almost a year after the movie came out, but he was INTRIGUING. This was a Onceler who went to business school and was smart enough to STOP THNEED production and save the ecosystem and the economy. And he has some kind of alter-ego where he turns into a robot. But the best thing about him is that he's not over-the-top friendly, but he's kind. Like talking to an actual person, not just a persona thats rp-ing as a onceler. He's the "realest" feeling Once-ler blog, and his mod is incredible at his plots. Also he was active until very recently as well. I can't wait to see his story finish out.
Most Admired: Entre
Entre was also a "real" feeling Once-ler, but that's not why I like him. I loved him cause of his personality. A young Once-ler, just starting out, not corrupted by greed just yet. He looked up to 72 and others as his senpai's, and he was very kind to everyone. Also the mod did SO MUCH for the fandom. Entre always had streams and Tinychats, and he never made you feel unwelcome, no matter how annoying you were. Whenever I think "Once-ler" the first askblog that comes to mind is Entre. And I can't even begin to state how grateful I am about the mods hardwork in physically and emotionally in Truffula Flu. Even though he's inactive now, he'll always be one of the best Once-lers
Most attractive: Sparkle
I LOVED this guy! He was a greedler through and through, and a spendthrift, throwing away his money on anything that glittered.
But all that glitters isnt gold. His story was sad. He was engaged to Norma but she left him when the business got to his head. And because of that he decided to go on a destructive path of money and partying and nothing else, but under all that shimmer was a hurt, lonely man.
His mod is no longer on tumblr, but I wish I could tell her how much her askblog meant to me
Most dependable: Shockler
Shockler has been updating his blog daily since he started up. He's a Once-ler who makes Thneeds on the side, his main career is a rockstar. But the best thing about him is that even though he comes off as aloof and sarcastic, he's always there to listen to your problems as a friend.
Funniest: Tie between Nut-ler and Old-ler
Haha, Whenever I'm feeling down I always go to these guys blogs. The Nutler is very kind, but he's got a few screws loose. He believes the trees TALK to him, that's why he chopped them all down. But he's always there to give you hugs and marshmallows, he calls himself everyone's grandpa, and he's one of the friendliest askblogs
Old-ler is completely the opposite. Rude and Grumpy,he just wants you to get out of his yard and leave him in peace. Yet he still deals with all us whippersnappers and tells the funniest stories with bad endings.
Best Ted
He's my favorite canon Ted. If you ask him, he's Just a 12 year old kid who saved Thneedville, no big deal.
But he's really sweet, as long as you dont get between him and his empty o-s
There are TONS more askblogs that deserve to be on this list. Every single one was a great contribution to the fandom. I hope them all the best <3
