The Feroxi dancing troupe was well known across Ylisse, and their shows were extremely popular. Advertising new talent, and a spirited performance, they’d drawn quite a crowd, even from as far out as Plegia and even some Valmese patrons. It was a popular show to bring friends to, and even potential romantic interests, so naturally Soleil had extended an offer for Ophelia to join her. A balcony no less, quite a prestigious vantage with which to watch the show.

Ophelia had been asked to meet Soleil there, but quite frustratingly, the mercenary failed to find her in the lobby. Perhaps she’d find their mutual seating together, and once Ophelia found her (empty) balcony, all she could do was wait.

Soon the show started. The lighting dimmed, and the show was introduced. Opening for the show, the leader of the troupe announced the arrival of new talent: a singer and dancer, trained by one of the troupe’s best, but bringing a fresh style from a faraway land.

It wasn’t until the songstress in question took the stage that Ophelia might have spotted the familiar pink mane at her back.

👫 Soleil was the one who got Ophelia into wearing pigtails like Lissa. Ophelia tried it out one say and the reaction from Soleil was absolutely priceless. She was fucking adorable and the mercenary couldn’t take it. So Ophelia keeps doing it because her gf likes it.

👫 Ophelia and Soleil at pride parades in which the two wear nothing but pink blue and purple because those are the flag colors. They smooch in public and Ophelia refers to herself as ‘the chosen girlfriend’ thanks bye.

👫 Soleil SUCKS at dancing but she’s too prideful to admit it so Ophelia asks to dance with her one day and Soleil’s like ‘FUCK’ because she can’t dance and she’s worried about stepping on Ophie’s tiny toes. Turns out Ophelia knew the whole time and while Soleil was off beat 90% of the time they both still enjoyed themselves.

👫 In the camp Ophelia, Soleil, and Velouria all share a tent !! They stay up really late by candlelight and listen to ghost stories that Ophelia tells, because her way of speaking makes them seem that much more real. Eventually the other Nohrian second gens ( and Elise ) catch on to the little party in the tent and start joining. Everyone’s there with the exception of Dwyer because he passes out so fast. Kana and Shigure get the most scared, Soleil and Midori do sound effects, and whenever there’s an animal in the story Velouria lends her wolf howl to wake up the whole damn camp.

Kamui sighed quietly and rubbed at his forehead. "Ophelia..." he tried again, hoping she would see reason. It wasn't like they were going out to pick flowers. There were Faceless they had to be rid of and that could very easily lead to further injury if the young woman were to join them.

Kamui wasn't exactly willing to face the wrath of Odin should his daughter be hurt because Kamui had allowed her to come along.

"You should rest and let yourself heal," he tried again, this time attempting to play along with her flowery way of talking. "There is no shame in taking time to heal, a Chosen One like yourself should know you can't put yourself in further danger. Uhm. Should you come to further harm, your grand quest may come to an end." This was a little harder than Ophelia and Odin made it seem. "Your allies are all behind you, cheering for you to get well so that you may be in good enough health to..." Kamui paused. Man, what was he trying to say now? He'd gotten too mixed up in all this fantastical speech.

"Your allies will understand that you need time to rest, to gather your strength so that you may push on." He finished, feeling a little lame. Maybe he was trying too hard.

          a small hand is taken in response to the soft lips placed upon soleil’s cheek, && the retainer kisses the exalt’s knuckles with the care of a child holding a baby bird. ophelia meant the WORLD to her, && soleil would do anything to keep her safe. && even though she disliked ophelia being beside her in combat, she knew that the girl ( the CHOSEN heroine ) would not back down from a fight.

          “ i’d love to have your magical expertise beside me in battle, but please, DON’T try to put yourself into any MAJOR damage, okay ?? your father would have my head if anything happened to you. && i would never be able to forgive myself. ”
