Daughter Of Lightning

There were a few Greek gods the King still liked. One of those lucky few was Eris. The goddess of strife and discord had more than once been a great help to his Queen. So he respected the one whose sole purpose it was to bring havoc to the world and rejoice in the chaos. And if he truly had to be honest, he also should add that the destructive part of him loved the chaos she brought. Even though most of his life had consisted of bringing order into things now that his world had turned upside down once again, the King loved to see chaos in the world.
Perhaps that was the reason why he found himself pushing the door of Eris’ boutique open that morning. Perhaps he was going to ask her to bring chaos to the life of other people just for the sake of fun. But without looking around the splendor boutique, Zeus already knew the goddess he had come for wasn’t there. His annoyance spiking, since things weren’t going his way, he strode over to the counter. Perhaps her worker would know when she’d come to the store.
But before he full and well reached said counter, the god saw how the worker had fallen asleep behind of it. Still, he approached the sleeping girl an eyebrow raised, his expression judging. Apparently he should have a talk with Eris about the work attitude of her workers. Since this certainly could not be allowed. Anyone like him would be able to steal every single valuable piece without waking the girl up. If he would have been her boss there would have been a time in which he would have forgiven the girl, but not now. Now he would have fired her for sure. On top of that he also would make sure that she would never repeat her mistake.
Only coming to an halt right in front of her, Zeus’ hard and unforgiving eyes turned downwards without moving his head. Examining the uncomfortable position the girl had managed to fall asleep in, with an upwards curl of contempt on his lips, all of a sudden her aura dawned on him. Recognition crossing his face, Zeus head snapped down as well. Examining her once more, this time around it was worry for her well-being that drove him. Wondering how he hadn’t noticed before that she was his daughter he blamed his annoyance for it. Ever since she had left he hadn’t been feeling like himself entirely anymore.
But now wasn’t the time to dwell further on that. Now was the time to wake his daughter up. If only because she could get some severe neck pain out of this sleeping position. Clearing his throat he hummed next, “Mhm,” A pause. Then, “You better wake up.” Watching her closely Zeus tilted his head to the right. “That position is very uncomfortable.” Wishing she would wake up from his voice alone the god decided he should ‘ring the bell’ on the counter in case she would not.
