Yosi break in the cargo vessel of Balut Island At that moment, we felt like refugees who flee from a country just to seek a peaceful place to live. Tourism is a growing industry in the Municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental. But there are only limited number of vessels to cater the tourists who like to visit the enchanting island. Since we forgot to book early for the GenSan trip, we managed to squeeze ourselves in this claustrophobic environment just to arrive in GenSan safely. The cargo vessel were loaded of copra sacks. Unfortunately, it did not happen. The coast guard advised that we should not continue our travel for the obvious reason. In the morning, we crossed Sarangani Strait with a pambut and able to survive the big waves coming from the pacific ocean. We landed safely in the municipality of Jose Abad Santos (JAS).
