Dave Arcari-Stick To Your Guns
A single release for that stalwart supporter of the Scottish Whisky industry, Dave Arcari, has slipped out this wee single,’Stick To Your Guns’. It proposes what it says on the label, stand up for what you believe, whether its your deep seated beliefs, a taste for whisky, or your life’s choices that seem to jar with those around you, you can draw your own picture to suit, maybe even Boris, imploring us to stay in our homes, shut off from our friends and family, none of its ever an easy decision, just ‘stick to your guns’, and look to the future.
Dave takes the opportunity to test drive his new signature National Reso-Phonic Guitar, from those nice guys in California. Dave has played National’s for 20 years, but this is personal, his very own signature job. As to that single, its a traditional back porch acoustic blues, with Dave in more sombre mood, no wild expressions, and foot stomping madness. It actually sounds very nice indeed on that very distinctive steel bodied resonator, a perfect advert should you want a copy, though the current cloud that hangs over us, probably won’t do much for sales! But that 40 proof bottle is still out there to console yourself. Either way its a lovely bit of blues.
