Lapp’s graphic memoir 'The Field' (Conundrum, May) looks back on a 1970s summer with bittersweet nostalgia.
There are still some spaces left in classes at Toronto Cartoonists Workshop. Marvel artist Leonard Kirk (Sigil) is teaching Comic Book Penciling and Inking: Level 1; Ty Templeton is teaching Comic Book Bootcamp Part II, and Drawing the Human Figure from Memory (no previous skills needed). Artist Eden Bachelder is teaching Introductory Drawing: Drawing from Observation. And...Disney and Pixar layout set designer Scott Caple (The Incredibles, Atlantis) is teaching What Lies Beneath: Perspective and Object Drawing for Comics and Animation.
