07/25/87 - Big Black at Boardwalk, Manchester, Untied Kingdom
“Manchester was a violently hot sweatbox with no ventilation. The crowd was sardine-stylee. Lots of disgruntled people turned away. We took our shirts off for the tirst time ever. There was no other way. It was all any of us could do to keep from collapsing. About four or five audience members collapsed and had to be taken away. After the set, Dave wrung out his shirt and, no shit, a pint of water poured out. Our fingers looked like we’d all been in a hot bath for an hour.” -Steve Albini, Big Black Tour Diary for Forced Exposure
