Persona 5 is a really weird game. Ann is constantly harassed by adult men and this is framed, rightly, as cruel, and degrading. But then a day later your male teammates try to look up her skirt and it's waved away as a harmless joke. I know this critique has been run into the ground but it's completely bizarre to see it in action.

there's an infuriating pepsi ad that plays before youtube videos currently where they're trying to do this "football nation" dead in the water marketing campaign. one of the proposed rules of the nation being "everything gets settled on the pitch" 😜🤘🤝 an advert somehow spiritually in parallel with street dance movies and the original tumblr university post

anyway, it's what i'm reminded of when people start bringing in immense war crimes- amongst other sobering events- in world history to inform how they feel about different teams

rent-lowering gunshot time. i think a reflexive anti-AI stance can be reactionary because there are legitimately good use cases for the technology in scientific research, although it is often overhyped. i also think most people use AI in incredibly stupid ways

unfortunately it’s not that simple. generative AI can be used to design new drugs for hard-to-treat diseases. analytical AI can pose data privacy risks and worsen bias in policing (and analytical AI is only as reliable as the data it processes).

it’s better to describe a model by what it does rather than what it is.
