Most likely they’re not ashamed of you. I feel the same way about my family a lot of the time and usually they say what I think they’re feeling is not true and they’re usually at least a lil more supportive than I expect.

i just wish i had the courage to talk to them about how i feel. because i know they're worried by the fact that i don't talk to them but i just don't know how to express myself and make them understand my problems. and the fact that i'm so silent gives them wrong ideas about me, i know it. they think i'm immature and lazy but i'm really not but i have no idea how to prove it to them. basically i'm a coward. and i know they love me and they'd support me if they understood.
