Wait a moment. I'm not the only one who ships Dave and Eridan? I thought that was just me, I thought I came up with a shitty ship and I was the only one on it. I guess it makes sense, they're both pretentious Hipsters that like to wear caps and shades, also the whole "Knight and Prince" aspect, because let's face it, Dave is more Knightly than you know who

Who cooks: Eridan can only cook seafood for some odd reason and anything else he tries to make ends up either horribly burned or completely raw. Dave can’t really cook worth a shit either because he’s not good with ingredients, so they either have to look shit up online together and fight over everything or order take-out. It usually ends up as the latter.

Who does the laundry and other chores: Eridan does most of it but Dave has to vacuum because the sound hurts Eridan’s ears/fins (whatever).

How many children do they have: -

Who’s more dominate: Eridan, especially if they’re arguing over something petty.

Favorite nonsexual activity: Dave likes trying to teach Eridan to rap because it pisses him off when he can’t get the flow right because of the way he speaks, and Eridan enjoys using the bathroom while Dave is in the shower to make the water scorching hot.

Their favorite place to be together: The beach. Dave only likes it because of how embarrassed Eridan gets when his fins start twitching at the smell of the seawater.

What they do for each other on holidays: Dave always makes a new rap for Eridan that fits the holiday or gets him something ironic, like a fishing net. Eridan then uses the fishing net to trap Dave in the doorway of the bathroom for a day or two.

Where did they first meet: One of Eridan’s dream bubbles after he died.

Any pets: A few fish that Dave is always threatening to cook.

What do they fight over: Mostly the cooking or the fact that Eridan never bothers drying off after he gets out of the shower so everything becomes a soaked mess.

Do they go on vacations, if so where: Just occasional trips to the beach and/or other dream bubbles.

If our love is tragedy...

You always had a feeling of dread in your chest ever since you died. Of course, that could be from the remaining scar that that blasted chainsaw left behind, but you liked to doubt it. Ever since Feferi broke off your moirallegiance, you had always felt... empty. You never connected with anyone anymore. 

Why are you my remedy?

And then you met him. At first, you thought he was a selfish, human prick, just like the other humans. You had only talked to Rose and Jade, both only once, and decided you would never associate yourself with another fucking human again - but he kept coming back. And it wasn't just another dead version of him, it was him. The same one, every time. Honestly, you thought he was just leading you on. Toying with you. He got on your nerves until you snapped. You were tired of being used as a fucking tool, and you just wanted to be left alone.

If our love's insanity...

He wouldn't stop coming, though. Every day he visited you in your lonely little bubble, the one with the rocks and endless seas that nobody else ever bothered with. Sometimes you would talk about pointless things, other times he would annoy you to your wits end and you just stopped talking and continued listening to his incessant drabble. Once he asked you how you were killed, and you showed him the hideous scar tearing itself across your midriff. That shut him up for the rest of the time. After a long silence, he showed you the scar on his neck, sharp and jagged, and you didn't know how to describe the pit that had settled into your stomach. Comforting and yet plaguing.

Why are you my clarity?

You hadn't even realized it until it happened. How close you two had become. Your opinion of humans hadn't changed one bit, as you thought they were weak and pointless, but this one... this one was different. You found yourself awaiting his arrival every day, waiting to see that head of golden blonde hair coming up over the crests, the hideous green tuxedo he wore reflecting in the water... Eventually he began staying in your bubble with you. You both slept on top of the flat rocks that overlooked the waves, separate at first. And then one night you realized you had invited him closer, into the safety of your dark purple cape. As he slept, you lie awake, staring up and the stars that would never be, and you cried. 

You are the piece of me I wish I didn't need...

You didn't know why you were crying, shit, you didn't even realize you were crying at all. The tears cascaded down your cheeks. They wouldn't seem to stop. Thoughts flooded your mind, as you thought the water surrounding you two would, thoughts of what had suddenly happened. You two had been strangers at first, but so quickly had you become something more. The shattered remains in your chest didn't pierce through you anymore, you realized, for they had melted and mended themselves into something new. Something that Feferi could never be. You wept with this newfound relief. And when you were finished crying a long time later, you felt his hand gently wrap around your midriff, right up against the old scar. And then, you realized that it no longer pained you like it had for so long.

Chasing relentlessly...

After that night, you two were connected in a way that you thought would never be possible for you again. You thought you would never be able to go back. But you had, and it felt so right. It made you feel lighter than air, it made you feel like you had finally regained the ability to swim just when you were about to drown. The stride was in your step, as you would say, and he would laugh and punch you in the arm. You only wanted him, and he only wanted you, and for the first time in your life, you actually felt yourself smile.

Still fight and I don't know why...

You had traveled out of your bubble with him for the seventh time. You two had gone past a lot of other bubbles, going this way and that, and going on about your usual business. You had noticed that the particular bubble you two had stopped in held many other ghosts, which kind of irked you, but he had been fine with getting lost in the crowd of hundreds. 

If our love is tragedy...

You realized that the ghosts had all stopped in awe, including your moirail. He stood, unblinking, at the bright light that had appeared over the dream's quest bed. It slowly descended, and an awful silence fell over everyone. That familiar dread had settled itself back into your stomach. You clutched Dave's shirt sleeve, hearing the blood roar past your ears.

Why are you my remedy?

You remember seeing a green face. The eyes horrified you, the eyes... You remember the eyes from the angels. The angels had told you this would come. And all you did to thank them was slaughter them in return. There was a flash of blinding light. You couldn't see anything, couldn't feel your moirail next to you for a few terrifying moments. You refused to scream.

The ghosts around you all screamed in mercy, and for a while you had believed you had gone deaf from their cries pounding against your sensitive eardrums. Suddenly, a hand grabbed your shirt, and when you looked to your right you saw him. His shades had fallen off, revealing the terror in his eyes. You didn't know what was going to happen, and neither did he, and you were both scared. You grabbed his hand reflexively, intertwining your fingers tightly. You heard him scream, too, and you felt like crying all over again. But the tears wouldn't come. You knew if you looked at him, you would see his jaw, wide open, raw flesh being peeled from muscle and bone. It hurt you, too, but you couldn't scream. You felt yourself being torn at your midsection, and uncomfortable, familiar feeling, and knew this was the end. 

Why are you my clarity?

You never exactly told him how you felt. You were grateful that you had him. In the moment before you two had been sent into oblivion, you grabbed him by the screaming jaw, and you yelled into the light, "Dave Strider, I love you!"

He hadn't heard you.

Sometimes you like just watching Eridan as he goes about his morning routine. Sure, being physical and shit with him is nice, but so is watching him as he busies himself in the bathroom. You like watching as he stares at himself in the mirror, checks over each one of his features. You watch as he styles his hair, that ever present strip right in the middle. You watch as he walks around your room after, gazing at himself in the full length mirror you have set up next to the closet. He goes through at least five outfits trying to find the perfect one for the day. You love it. You love Eridan, as weird as it is to love a troll, but everything he does is just fascinating and amazing to you. And you will admit, it takes a lot to amaze a Strider.I am so sorry. This is so bad but I had no idea what I was doing. But here you go!
