To the followers of Homestuck and Andrew Hussie's extended body of work
The recently emergent community manager known as Vibri is in a harmful relationship spurred by highly inappropriate advances made by Hussie. The following text details my experiences and perceptions as someone who used to be close with Alice (Who now goes by the pseudonym Vibri / Violet to attempt and divorce their past public identity as "Clione chan / boople__snoot" in order to shield Hussie,) and the highly manipulative behavior perpetrated by Hussie.
Alice at one point was close with me and we were in an established, tightly knit friend group. In recent times, Alice entirely abandoned the aforementioned friend group and has been attempting to shut down and scrub the online community they have been fostering to pursue romantic proximity to Hussie and Homestuck projects. They cannot stand the thought of the info pertaining to Andrew and their relationship getting out to the public and damaging their reputation and then facing the consequences or criticism for defending Andrew’s, questionable at best, hostile and controlling at worst, actions in social groups, in addition to people finding out they are lying about nearly their entire personality. To deter this, Alice fabricated the Vibri persona to conceal details such as their age, nature of their relationship with Hussie, the fact that they moved in with them, and their own personal vested interests in the HS community. When info on this got out, Alice went out of their way to establish that the reason they've took on this persona was to keep a level of anonymity, primarily to forestall alleged stalkers breaching their privacy. Although I do not doubt there having been occurrences of stalking, since I have witnessed firsthand that Alice had to deal with problems of that nature, the main & underlying reason for this is to create plausible deniability. Through this, Alice is able to thwart and discredit very real concerns that some people have had pertaining to their safety, by simply pointing fingers and painting them as one of the 'stalkers' they specifically crafted their identity to ward off.
To set in place how Hussie came into contact with Alice, it is to be established that Alice is, and has been, highly obsessed, bordering on infatuated with Hussie, his general works, and Homestuck since they were young. They are seemingly receiving an unknown level of fiscal support, and additional emotional support from Andrew to run their fandom and maintain direct proximity to them, (i.e. offered to house them (allegedly), was given permission to manage the majority of merchandise sales, generalized creator to superfan validation, and Andrew even went as far as donating their social media accounts to them to run as “official Homestuck accounts” related to the established team and Vibri/Alice, effectively giving Alice a very visible public pedestal to platform + legitimize their art/creative endeavors, etc.) Through this, Andrew has put Alice in a position of considerable authority over Homestuck and its public presence matters, Alice is handling the official Discord server and other PR matters, the aforementioned public facing Homestuck twitter accounts, speaking on behalf of Andrew, ect. This dynamic created an insanely power-imbalanced feedback loop and supply of endless validation for each other. Andrew has gone out of their way to seemingly manipulate Alice’s infatuation into more through exclusive romantic, highly interpersonal, and special attention. Around 2024, Andrew and Alice began talking and Alice and their partner at the time flew across the country to meet Andrew, initially platonically while they were both in separate relationships, but establishing their connection more seriously. Alice's friend circle took notice and expressed concern about this as it began to become more personal post break-up with their ex, and were told they were "just friends,” and that none of us were allowed to post about it or anything related due to Andrew being in some “hot water” online. Apparently they didn't want online audiences to "know what they were doing.” Under normal circumstances this level of privacy is warranted, but the immense age gap paired with the power imbalance brought up concerns for many of their friends, especially since the first time they met in person, Alice was in Vriska cosplay and Andrew took deliberate care to egg Alice on as the “canon version of Vriska,” knowing full well that Alice would likely be elated to have explicit, expressed approval from their idol. During the earlier visits before Alice started becoming more involved emotionally with Andrew, Alice’s at the time partner, (now ex,) met Andrew with them and began working on a project with Andrew. This project did come to an end before the two broke up due to project mismanagement from all parties and the project then died in the conceptual stage.
Months later, Alice dramatically left their partner through an extreme social discard. Afterword, Alice began speaking to their friend circle about how Andrew had encouraged them to break up, noting that Andrew had instilled the idea that Alice had a "bad dynamic" with their ex. Admittedly, there were instances of their ex’s behavior that were inappropriate, but the narrative they shared with us led to our friend circle to socially isolate from their ex for months until parts of Alice’s narrative stopped adding up as we all spoke amongst ourselves. After this dramatic breakup, Andrew got the opportunity to isolate Alice handed to them on a plate, scooping them up from their ex seemingly as quickly as possible and playing as some sort of savior role to Alice; this was an ultimate romantic gesture towards them. In post, it feels like these latter meetings where Andrew would come visit after Alice was established as single, (particularly those visits that the friend circle were asked to stay quiet on,) were some of the first attempts to sweep under the rug what was going on because the pair were aware it would look supremely weird for a freshly broken up with, just barely 24 year old, who was obsessed with HS and Andrew to be seen with them just after their messy divorce. With this rapport established, Alice moved away to live with Andrew in secrecy, even posting about haphazardly "moving" due to an emergency to their 200,000+ follower Twitter account. Unbeknownst to our friend circle, (who believed they were just moving cities,) they then moved in with Andrew. Shortly thereafter, Alice practically cut contact with everyone in their established friend circle and previously built online community besides a few exclusive friends, who they then incorporated into several Homestuck projects. Here is when Alice and Andrew started to craft a very elaborate story through how they posted the situation to the public Homestuck server as to sew plausible deniability in the fandom when stuff eventually did start to bubble up, as is happening now. The website launch itself, announced in August of 2025, was a very calculated move to pull attention from other fandom drama involving one of the creators of the Unofficial Homestuck Collection software.
Alice seems insistent on keeping up the facade for whatever reason. It's been extremely depressing to watch. Whether it's due to Andrew's influence or their own personal motives jumping out of the woodwork, it's hard to tell. Witnessing the level they are willing to go to for damage control for Homestuck and its creator’s reputation has been disheartening. Andrew and Alice seem to be endlessly enabling each other in whatever ways they feel are necessary to control the narrative and manipulate their audience into supporting them, as seen by the google doc Andrew released about the HVC color composer and the story behind that. Many people who are and were close to Alice have tried to tell them they do not not support the relationship dynamic that is occurring, and have expressed that we are concerned that their creative drive, idolization of Hussie, and infatuation with Homestuck are being taken advantage of, and have tried to warn them that we feel the relationship is an unhealthy. In response, several of us have faced social retaliation and in-circle smear campaigns that Alice has used to attempt to isolate them from speaking to others in the group about their observations. Alice has posted to the Homestuck server adamantly that they are not in a romantic relationship with Hussie, but rather people online are just spreading rumors that they deem are a breach of their privacy… It’s not a breach of privacy when Alice themself used their main account to comment under Andrew’s photos on instagram claiming to have taken the photos, defending Andrew publicly on their twitter, and seemingly bread-crumbing to both their audience and Hussie’s that they were involved with each other. In the recent past, there have even been prominent Homestuck community members who have posted about similar observations, to which Alice addressed through belittling these people in replies, wherein they claim to be above victimhood and are actually being infantilized on a large scale. This also effectively resulted in Streisand-ing their posts into being taken down and then Alice taking their posts down in reply to them.
Through community testimony found online and also leaked Discord screen caps from the Official Homestuck server's moderator channels, it seems that Alice and Andrew don’t just stop at belittling their community members who upset them through sharing their opinions, but allegedly may have groups of people they ask to assist in data scraping on them and threaten doxxing; going as far as to, (allegedly,) apply legal threats. Most prominently, this has happened to the infamous HS tumblr blog "Davekat-sucks.”
Davekat-sucks, (that is now defunct from Alice and Andrew sending DKS a restraining and takedown order,) is a blog that, alongside posting about shipping discourse and mainstream relevant Homestuck fandom discussions, had extensively documented Andrew’s public behavior, comic endeavors, mishaps, their relationships with other people, (romantic and otherwise,) and how they've acted in the past+present both with fans and people who worked under them, etc. This blog often hosted ample conversation from anon posters and other Homestuck fans through hosting this space. DKS did have some questionable ideas they supported, (the blog runner was a self-admitted shotacon, parroted many transphobic talking points, made strangely racist comments, and a myriad of other things.) I can acknowledge this aspect of their behavior is absolutely terrible in its own right, I absolutely do not condone nor support this aspect of their behavior, but this does not automatically discredit the conversation that was being hosted on this blog, as some info hosted there has been true. Separate from this legal action being abusive litigation, Homestuck staff has disregarded the fact that DKS is an American who comes from an immigrant background, in this political climate with anti-immigration sentiment and ICE running rampant, to intimidate them through law enforcement, with Vibri/Alice themself making a quip about how they "wouldn’t answer [the door to cops] either,” and another Discord moderator, snidely adding an "Acab" comment, after a tangent Alice went on about how unreliable DKS' local police department has been.
This all has been incredibly emotionally tolling and exhaustive on the part of Alice’s old friend circle, (particularly those who have been isolated and had to face retaliation in response to speaking out in concern,) and at what point they will choose to address this situation in honesty is, at this time, unknown. It’s majorly unknown how Andrew’s friends or circle have responded to this aside from Toby Fox who seemingly denied Andrew bringing Alice to his wedding when Andrew asked. This post has been made in effort to bring awareness to Andrew’s concerning seemingly predatory behavior, Alice’s role in protecting Andrew’s reputation, and to expose what level they will both seemingly stoop to in order to prevent their fandom from knowing the truth of any of this. Through this they are normalizing these groomer-esque behaviors to their 40,000 member discord server, wherein many of the active members are minors in and of themselves and may not recognize this dynamic at all, let alone how concerning this may be. Alice will argue that they’re “happy” now and that they aren’t doing this for all of the reasons stated in this essay, they have many times over tried to deflect away conversations about this in the past through this excuse, but Andrew’s established pattern of behavior with previous Vriska cosplaying partners who act as his mouthpiece and live-in PR manager/Homestuck runner Jr., and Alice’s established infatuation lending to how they may perceive Andrew, it makes it all so wildly concerning. There is seemingly no end to the cycle in sight.
i always knew that davekat-sucks was an obvious channer and it really baffles me that some of you in the tags were clueless of this. just because they made a bunch of posts about hating andrew hussie, you looked past their racism and transphobia and transmisogyny and also general spammy attitude. it's concerning.
I hate @/davekat-sucks. Like, they're all open to their oppinions and good for them or whatever when it comes to that.
But they're trying to put social rules and laws on a fictional world that go off of completely different rules.
When it comes to the incest jokes and pedophile stuff, I can see why they're upset. I usually don't mind that kinda stuff but the creators of hs:bc kinda shoved it in there in a weird way and it felt icky.
But like every post feels like a weird circle jerk between them and the anons in their ask box.
They say "roxy is a pedophile, because Caliope is emotionally stunted." And everyone in their asks acts like was they say is scripture. (I am slightly overexagerating but you get my point)
Caliope and Roxy aren't even dating. They don't even have feeling for eachother. Calliope quite litterally can't, and in Homestuck Roxy learned about that and was okay with it. Calliope isn't even a child btw. Her cheeks aren't filled in because Caliborn never died. That doesn't mean she's a child emotionally or whatever. She grew up just like Roxy and the others did. The ring making it so she doesn't age does make sense but I don't think it can really be used to say Roxy is a pedophile, seeing they don't like eachother like that.
June did say that she emotionally cheated on him, but he was locked in his house for God knows how long without talking to either of them. He doesn't know shit about what's going on between them.
As for June being a pedophile,,,, I can't defend that one. I dunno why the authors made that decision,,,, bleh.

June's dad was being supportive of his kid!!! How would he even know his kid was trans if his kid wasn't even aware herself???? Like it happens all the time. My dad never hesitated to supporting me being feminine, and when I came out, he was in full support of me being more masculine!!!
And vriska, while yes, does have a habit of pushing people to do things before their ready, she can't force a guy into being transgender. No one can!! As a light player, she tends to understand or realize things about people before even they know it themselves. That doesn't mean what she sees in people is just what she wants out of them, it just means she's impatient and tries to get it out of them as soon as possible. And btw. Vriska didn't even say anything about her being a girl?? She put a bunch of Os in John. (I didn't know when I originally reblogged their post, so I did just look it up rq)
Had to look it up to find someone more competent in explaining june being trans, so if you're interested here ya go. It doesnt go into the canonicity of her being trans or the in-story evidence unfortunately i think its still interesting to see where it comes from.

Definitely agree they should focus on Hiveswap instead of reviving Homestuck^2/Beyond Canon. Hussie blew the 2 million dollars given to him and is not even part of the project anymore, leaving James Roach and the rest of WhatPumpkin to do the rest. It's been 11 years the Kickstarter campaign was up and funded. If they wanted to gain more money, they could at least make more merch based around Hiveswap too. They had done it before and could do it again without ForFansByFans. If Toby Fox could gain funds thanks to merch up on Fangamer, then WhatPumpkin should be able to do the same for Hiveswap. Anything to show that it's not a Kickstarter Scam to the levels of Mighty No. 9.
