i feel the need to make really clear that there is no hidden layer to this comic, it is NOT about either of them being secretly in love with each other and dancing around it or whatever!!!! if you make this into a romantic yearning thing im fucking stealing something out your house!!!!

i hc june as aromantic and asexual (sex-neutral probably?). she has no interest in romance/dating, and generally has a pretty low libido with not much interest in sex. but occasionally she does have a desire to, and in this case as she explains it's driven by wanting to explore her now more "feminine" body with someone else.

on dave's end it's a tinyyy bit more complicated as he did used to have a crush on her back when they were kids, but that isn't really much of a thing anymore apart from him just thinking she's hot lol. he does not have any hidden agenda as to why he said yes, it really is just he thinks she's hot and she's his best friend and it would be fun while also helping june figure out stuff :)

oh also i feel the need to add a disclaimer that obviously june not caring about terms like "man" and "dude" as a trans woman is not indicative of all trans women, don't do that without knowing if it's cool 👍

i woke up yesterday and got the idea for the beginning of this conversation and then ended up just writing the entire thing in my notes app in bed for like 2 hours in a fervor. this was my first time writing dialogue for any homestuck characters and i was worried it'd be hard but it ended up being like one of the easiest things i've ever written??? their voices just came to me and it flowed so naturally and easily that i barely made any edits afterwards before making the comic

im really proud of this both dialogue-wise and visual-wise :D i dont make comics very often but i think this came out rlly well. and although i wasn't really thinking about it as i was writing it, it's actually quite personal LOL. i poured all my love into this thing so i hope you liked it ^_^ #yay
