He saved her life. It seemed so simple for him to do, just the way he grabbed her and kept her from being taken by the storm. Only he was capable of doing so and he had done it without hesitation. She thanked him that day, but had it been enough? Being so close to death had her re-evaluating her choices, her decisions. She valued life more so now than before.
They needed to examine the specimen they successfully retrieved. She was anxious about what they might learn. Would this question her faith or make it stronger? Fingertips rubbed against the cross hanging around her neck.
