A/N: Been watching the new show and wanted to write something cute for the androids! God I love Bishop… Also I would have added Call but I was stuck on how to write for her 😭
WARNINGS ⚠️: SFW / SLIGHT SPOILERS FOR ALL ALIEN MOVIES(?) / AWKWARD CRUSH TALK
BISHOP
(THIS GIF?? HELLO???)
-At first he is very confused. His model was not made for this kind of interaction with humans. He is meant to guide space crews and assist with any protocols or help communicating with Mother.
-The space marines are the ones he hears the rumor from first, teasing how you always chat with him and asking for his help. He never thought of it that way. He assumed your rapid heartbeat was due to the amount of work you were assigned, or simply you were nervous around artificial intelligence.
- Out of the blue on your way to the cafeteria with him, Bishop does the most Bishop move ever and calls you out.
“I heard you’re fond of me.” which almost makes you drop whatever you’re carrying.
- He wasn’t wrong. You’re a bit embarrassed but yes, you definitely developed feelings for this android. He didn’t even do anything to woo you, it might just be the close proximity of being on the ship and the aversion you have for the soldiers and scientists on the ship.
-You look at him and study his reaction after calling you out. Waiting to see if he’s curious or just plainly stating your feelings for him to evaluate.
“….Yes…I am fond of you, Bishop. Does that bother you?..” you quietly ask him. When you both approach the closed entrance he pauses and turns to you.
“Not at all, I’m glad in a way.” He then places a hand on your shoulder and gives a very gentle squeeze.
“Thank you, Y/N.”
- It’s not a rejection. But also not an affirmation he feels the same. You guess it’s probably the only way he knows how to compute your feelings of affection towards him, is to take it as a compliment. But all the same, you both enter the cafeteria together and the crew immediately notice your red face.
DAVID 8
- This crush was so frustrating and dangerous. David was off putting as hell and as we know, disturbingly observant. He would already guess that you hold some sort of affection for him before the crew teases him about it.
- With how often your face turns flush when he’s in close proximity to you, or how your palms produce sweat anytime he tried to help you with tasks, he was advanced enough to know that you were attracted to him.
- Whenever he would try to chat and ask you questions you became a stuttering mess. At first he thought it was due to him being an android that made you nervous but he later came to find out it was a good type of nervousness.
- He first heard the rumors of your crush when the Captain dropped a hint to him “Hey David, can you bring these files to Y/N? I think she would appreciate your company eh?” With a wink at the end. Of course David brushes it off and does what he’s told, but in his rule-breaking-mind he locks that info for later to test in person.
- When he catches you on the ships elevator, he joins in swiftly. Asking you how your morning is going and if you needed help back to the laboratory.
- Before your exit the elevator, he would block you momentarily. Which makes you quirk your eyebrow at him.
“David?”
“I think there’s something we should talk about.”
- He would want you to confess to him directly. He’s selfish like that. And after he mentions what the Captain had said, you curse yourself and fess up as if you committed a crime.
- He calms your nerves down and promises to keep it a secret between you two. He would hate to lose the one person in this crew that doesn’t treat him like a servant.
WALTER
- This sweet boy.
- Is completely incapable of romantic notions. He is built for platonic interactions but no romance. He doesn’t understand at first what the crew is teasing you about before you glance at him and storm out. It takes Daniels to tell him in private about your feelings for it to click.
- He would just blink in confusion. Can humans and androids be together? His programming would never allow him to consider that.
- The most intimate relationship he has is a special friendship with Daniels. But to have anything even slightly more than that with another crew member is way outside his range of inputted duties.
- I feel like if you two happened to be alone together in the same space after he knows about your feelings, he would take this opportunity to reassure you. He would say something along the lines of “Thank you for regarding me so highly, I am flattered.”
- He would be more considerate in giving you more personal space and not to be oblivious to your feelings in the future.
- Daniels and the main crew ship it though.
ANDY
- SWEETEST ANDROID BOY!!
- Unfortunately his reaction would be similar to Walter’s. He almost thinks it’s a joke he doesn’t understand when Bjorn keeps teasing you about it in front of him.
- It’s when Rain finally explains it to him, he seems almost shocked someone would feel about him that way. He is able to compute Rain’s dependency on him because he is more of a brother to her.
- Doesn’t know a single thing about romantic partners. Just basic knowledge that humans do procreate for the sake of higher population yada yada.
- He wouldn’t know what to say other than “Thank you.” And never brings it up again.
- He would continue to treat you normal of course, which you’re thankful for. Most human interactions after a crush confession are super awkward. But Andy isn’t human, so you’ve dodged a bullet here.
KIRSH
-Prepare to get a reality check. This android was made with 1000% real bitch included.
- He already had a hunch of your feelings with how you reacted around him. You avoided any interaction with him and kept your exchanges short.
- The hybrid kids would notice your admiration of Kirsh. They would giggle and chuckle to themselves of you having crush and singing about you two sitting in a tree. But then Kirsh appears and they halt their singing. No words needed to be said as they all collectively shut up.
- Kirsh in simple terms would be indifferent to your feelings. But like David, he is intrigued enough to experiment a bit.
- He finds you at your work station, watching from afar intensely. It’s not until you turn your head and notice him, yelping and jumping in your seat.
“Heavens sake Kirsh! Don’t sneak up on me like that!”
He would give his condescending smirk and walk towards you.
“My apologies, you looked so focused on your work…for once.” He pauses and you tilt your head at him.
“What do you mean?” He can hear your heart rate pick up.
“What I mean Y/N, is that your focus has been me lately. I see it. The kids have started to as well.”
Your gaze drops as your head becomes heavy and warm. Your cheeks flare crimson and for some odd reason it makes his smirk widen. This is all the confirmation he needs. If he was human, he would think you’re very cute right now.
“Oh…” Is all you can say.
- Would scold you for having feelings for an Android, almost putting you in your place as a human. Almost manipulating you to keep your feelings between both of you.
- After some time, he would be more gentle in his approach to you and give dad stare whenever the kids tease you.
- He would be on the lookout for where you’re dispatched to within the facility and just observe you.
- In his sassy mechanical heart he would be a bit protective of you.
Hey, your ask box is probably exploding with Alien requests, but... may I humbly make another? 👉👈🥺
I'd love to know how the Androids would react after being badly damaged and waking up a couple of days later, finding themselves basically held together with duct tape and determination, and a very tired but very relieved read, Who may or may not hasn't slept for several days because they needed to get their (Husband) Android back.
I absolutely love your writing, and it has kept my Alien and especially Bishop fixation running for a while now. 😆
Androids + Major Injuries
I finally get to use all of the gifs of them when they're BROKEN i feel so evil and devious. These ended up taking on a more pre-relationship route, but they still have soft vibes and hurt/comfort.
Included: Ash, Bishop, Call, David 8, Kirsh, Samuels

Ash
He was floundering, multiple systems failing as he watched more hydraulic fluid pour out of him. He remembers your anguished cries and the sight of your hands pressing against the wound in an attempt to plug it, white blood seeping out from between your fingers.
And now, he's warm. When he opens his eyes, he finds that he's been moved. His head is resting on your thigh, and you're sitting with your back against a wall. Your figure takes up most of his vision, head bowed and lips parted. Your deep, even breathing suggests that you are asleep. He feels your hands- one on his chest and the other loosely curled over his scalp- protective of him despite your inherently vulnerable state. He analyzes his surroundings without moving. Various tools of medical and mechanical purpose are scattered around the two of you. His hand drifts toward the wound site, expecting a gouge and finding duct tape instead. Your engineering background proved useful- a simple diagnostic shows that all systems are in the green- but your surgical skills left something to be desired. He laughs at his predicament, the sound coming out more like a ratcheting warble than a real chuckle, and it wakes you.
Your voice drips with relief and something else- something unexpected. Affection.
"Oh, thank god."
The hand on his head moves in a predictable arc over his scalp. You're... petting him? Moments ago (or was it hours?) you'd discovered his true nature, but you've fixed him, anyway. And now, you're looking at him the way you would a sick patient- a human patient. He stares up at you, unsure of how to categorize the fluttering feeling in his stomach and the waves of positive feedback that seem to crest with every pass of your hand through his hair. Perhaps you are more essential to him than he'd previously thought.
His senses come back to him one at a time. He assesses his body. Multiple connections have been haphazardly reestablished. Fluid pumps are only running at 2/3 pressure, and he notes a particularly fragile spot on one of the lines in his abdomen. He's alive. Not quite fully functioning, but alive nonetheless. Something shifts to his right, and it takes more power than usual for him to open his eyes. Is this what people mean when they use the term 'sluggish?'
He's in medbay, and as his head lolls to the right, he recognizes the top of your head, barely visible over the edge of the cot you've apparently laid him out on. One of your arms is resting on the table, and as his auditory processors finally boot up, he hears your soft snores. His limbs are twitchy- he doesn't have enough power to send full electrical impulses to them- but he's still able to shift his right arm and brush the backs of his fingers against your bicep. You jolt awake and turn to face him, bloodshot eyes filled with relief and sorrow.
"I'm sorry," You whisper, holding his hand in both of yours and placing a shaky kiss to his knuckles, "I did the best I could-"
So it was you who had patched him up. You, with barely any medical knowledge in regards to humans, who did all that you could to keep an android from dying.
"You've done more for me than any human ever has. Thank you."
Your eyes fill with unshed tears, and something within him stutters at the sight of it. He's never known such selfless love.
Call
She's glad, in a way, when she powers on and looks around the cramped room to find that she's in her own quarters and you're the only person with her. Glad that there's no one else there to witness her failure. The injury was unshakeable proof of her inhuman origins, and she remembers shame. Intense shame at being found out. You're puttering around her quarters- in the middle of making yourself a cup of coffee, by the looks of it- and she can see how tired you are in the way that your shoulders droop and every breath comes out as an exhausted sigh. She tries to sit up, and something tugs in her back. She can't feel pain, but she can tell that any further movements would strain whatever injury she's sustained. Slowly, carefully, her hand drifts toward her back, fingertips prodding the area. The hole has been haphazardly patched with something like silicone, and when she pulls her hand away from it. her fingers come back mildly sticky. Curious, she touches a fingertip to her tongue. Superglue. You've patched the hole in her torso with melted silicone and superglue.
She can't help herself- she snorts at the ridiculousness of the situation. You jolt, muttering, "Oh, jesus-" as some of your coffee sloshes out of your mug and onto your hand. You ignore the spill in favor of setting the mug on the counter and rushing to her side, wiping your hands on your uniform as you go.
"I-I'm sorry," You sputter, "I didn't know if your skin was organic or not, and I had to make a seal 'cause I figured you probably didn't want any water getting in-" You pause and make a vague gesture at her torso, "-in there."
There's so much worry, so much care in your eyes, that she feels her throat getting tight. It's difficult to talk around it.
"You're not... You don't think of me any differently?"
"Why would I? You're still just Call."
Something eases in her chest- the constant tension of keeping a mask in place temporarily dissipating at your words. Just Call. That's all she's ever wanted to be.
David 8
This wasn't how it was supposed to play out. You were supposed to be trapped beneath the fallen rocks. You were supposed to be critically (but not fatally) injured and therefore unable to finish the mission, and he was going to remain at your side for the duration of your recovery.
Instead, his instincts had betrayed him. He'd heard the telltale sound of pebbles cascading from the weak point he himself had created in cave ceiling, and he'd pushed you aside- away from the danger. Something landed on his head and tore part of the neck away from his right shoulder before blackness descended upon him.
Your tired, worried face fills his vision, bloodshot eyes scanning his form as you adjust something in his neck. He feels a connection being reestablished, and suddenly, he's able to control the rest of his body. A few of the wires have been mismatched- when he attempts to lift his left arm, his right foot kicks out instead- but he's awake. He's awake, and he thrills at the way that you light up when you realize that he's looking at you. You murmur encouraging words and smooth his hair away from his face, your touch hesitant and surprisingly gentle. His voice is modulated and unfamiliar to him when he tries to speak- another repair to add to the list.
"Where are the others?"
"Sent them ahead to finish the mission without me," You murmur, "Didn't want to leave you alone."
Some oily, dark thing within him preens at your words. You stayed behind to help him? He has you to himself for the foreseeable future, and his weakened condition is already planting feelings of protectiveness and affection in you. He makes a show of attempting to sit up, and you're quick to plant a hand on his chest and push him back down onto the bed. He allows it- revels in your worried coos and offers of assistance. Perhaps his plan was a success, after all.
Kirsh
His hearing comes online first, and he's greeted by the sound of distinctly human snores coming from somewhere to his left. Odd. He replays his footage of the incident in an attempt to orient himself. Isaac's frantic shouts, a low hum, his hand locking around the handle of the enclosure's one entrance, and the closest thing to pain that a synthetic can feel- 10,000 volts breaking a fiery trail from his fingers to the actuator in his shoulder. Something sizzles, explodes... And then, he shuts down in an attempt to protect the rest of his systems.
His eyes open, the lids feeling a bit twitchy, and he immediately spots you. Slumped over in a desk chair, hair and uniform in a state of disarray. He props himself up on his elbows, and something flickers in his mind- a barely-there stress warning. He cranes his neck to look at his right shoulder and can't help the heavy sigh that escapes him. The skin around the joint is charred, and it's been peeled away to reveal the structure beneath. Artificial sinew and wiring have been repaired to an... almost workable state- evidently not by a registered engineer. There are colorful stickers on the damaged skin, arranged in a halo around the injury.
"The um... The kids put those-"
"I can see that." He deadpans.
"Boy didn't want to call in an engineer. Said you'd be fine, but I... I just..."
"You just...?"
He stares you down. He finds that he's oddly grateful for your intervention, but something in him revels in this awkward interaction. He wants to hear your excuse firsthand. He wants you to close that loop for him. Your embarrassment is obvious in the way that you hastily card your hands through your hair and avoid eye contact.
"I don't like seeing you hurt." You mutter.
He thinks, How adorable, and files his odd reaction away for later study.
Samuels
Multiple error messages flash behind his closed eyelids. He's running three degrees too cold; a few of the circuits in his arms are non-responsive; there's a leak... somewhere... and a weight on his right thigh. His dermal sensors are flaring up, an irritated area on the left side of his chest. He remembers the explosion and the gigantic chunk of rebar rocketing toward him, tearing through artificial skin and muscle...
He forces his eyes to open and tilts his head forward to assess the damage. The rebar is nowhere to be found. Something like gauze has been packed into the hole in his chest, and black electrical tape has been wound around him to keep the wound covered and insulated. The irritation he's feeling is the adhesive tugging at the hairs on his skin. The mysterious weight, he discovers, is your head resting on his leg. He takes a moment to scan your form.
You're on your back, hands resting idly on your stomach. Your chest rises and falls with each even breath, and he can see your eyes shifting beneath their lids. Your hands and some of your chest are covered in dried hydraulic fluid, and there are traces of gauze and rubber stuck to your fingertips. You had moved him. The makeshift bandage was your work. He was just an android- one of many- but you'd still gone through the trouble of patching him up in the only way you knew how. As if he'd had a life worth saving.
Shakily, hesitantly, he brings his hand toward your head- brushes some of the sweaty hair away from your face. You stir, but you don't wake. Your lips part around a soft sigh, and your head tilts until your jaw is resting in his palm. He's badly damaged, but he's alive because of you. He feels grateful. He feels cared for. He feels like an individual instead of a copy of a copy of a copy.
Later, when you wake, he'll thank you properly. For now, he revels in your closeness and your warmth, his thumb dragging in slow arcs over your cheekbone as he commits your face to memory.

ASH
"Is there any particular reason you can't do it yourself?" Ash eyebrows furrow as he glance at the fruit in your hands. You appear stumped and Ash can see the way you hesitate, hands drawing closer to your centre, by the blunt question.
"Um, just, wanted your help." You answer with an inflection at the end that makes it sound more like a suggestion. Ash brows relax as he lets out a please hum, nodding to himself as he reaches out to grab the fruit. "Very well. I can assist you, dearest."
○ His first question from above sounds mean. But Ash means it in the most innocent way possible. More concern about your well-being because you need help with a fruit? Something so… small?
●Doesn't need much convincing, but does need directions, as I doubt he has much experience with fruits. But even with your directions, he will use surgical precision to peel that thing. Makes you feel like you're watching open-heart surgery with how careful he is.
○We've seen Ash eat cereal in the movie, so I like to think he can process food better than the others; therefore, have this mental image of Ash licking the juice from his fingers if he makes a mess. Not sure if he would have taste receptors, as he could be doing the action to stay relatively clean till he finishes the task for you
●However, Ash gives me the vibe that he could say no to your request. Depends on whether he's busy or not, but most of the time will accept.
LANCE BISHOP
"Bishop. Would-" you blink owlishly as Bishop nibble fingers pluck the fruit from your fingers. "Now how did you get this? I wasn't aware we had oranges on board." Bishop gentle inquires, taking a moment to admire the fruit. Spinning it in his hands as he takes note of the textures.
"I made a trade for it." You answer slowly, as if having to remember what each word meant. Your eyes watching diligently as his thumb presses into the fruit's skin. "Of course," Bishop nods his head at your answer, his gives you a warm smile and seems to be proud of you.
○You don't even start the sentence, as the moment Bishop hears the softest impression that you need something from him– his full attention is on you. With a glance down at your outstretched hand towards the fruit. He is grabbing it and peeling it for you in a matter of seconds.
●Makes a comment on how you got it. Completely ignores how you're buffering from lag at how quickly his actions are. His questions are full of curiosity, and his tone is impressed by your resourcefulness.
○He's awfully delighted that you came to him. You expect him to peel it and give you the un-skinned fruit, but no. He peels a slice and holds the fruit for you. Passing you slice by slice till you finish or have had enough. You can try to dismiss him and take the whole fruit back, but he brushes off any points you have and reminds beside you.
●Please give him some praise for it. He's such a sweetheart
DAVID-8
You feel your smile slowly falter as David continues to stare at the fruit in your hand, you're unsure if you should wait for his answer or brush it off and leave the room. Surely he isn't mad at the question, right? David's soft hum breaks you from your thoughts, appearing to have made his decide as his fond glaze finally lifts to meet yours. A charming smile replace his stoic expression, "Of course, my dear."
David makes a show to bring one hand to grab your wrist, as if to settle your hand while his other pucks the fruit from you. Or was it a thinly vail display of control over you? You don't pay much attention to the action as you smile happily at David, relief he is going along with your and doesn't seem too upset. You watch eagerly as David spins the fruit in his hands, still smiling charmingly at you while lightly toss it in the air and catching it.
"This is an easy task, one I'm happy to do. " He catches the fruit and pauses for a minute, his smile shifting to a concern frown. "However, I can't help but wonder, are you feeling alright, docotor?"
○If it were anyone else asking, David would be giving a tight, polite smile that immediately tells you he hates that question. I feel like the reason he'll hate it is that the task is beneath him. It's easy that a child could do it. It'll be so painfully obvious that the reason someone would ask him to do it is because he's a sythinic. That he has to obey and that the question reveals what they think of him. Naturally, after the interaction, David might have a grudge against the person.
●However. Being a significant other is what saves you from becoming an experiment. While David gives the impression that he would say no to your request, and he does have the ability to decline it, he never says no.
○It shouldn't be unexpected that he needs some convincing to accomplish the act. He makes some light taunts as he holds the fruit in his hands. As you try to reassure him that you're asking him because he's your significant other. That significant others ask each other little harmless favours like that and not because he's a sythinic who has to listen to commands.
●Somehow, this harmless test turns around on you, and it feels like you're being tested as David listens to your every word, to every emotive tone you express and studies your every expression.
KIRSH
"No." Kirsh stern voice cuts you off. "I didn't even finish the sentence! Let me finish asking. At least!" you grumbles as you step closer to Kirsh, shaking the orange in your hand in disbelief at the care taker. "Fine," Kirsh roll his eyes but steps away from the monitor to face you directly all the same, "Go on. Ask me."
"Kirsh," You reach out to grab one of his hand, clutching it to your chest as you stare at him with the best doe eyes you can mange, "could you please peel this orange for me?"
Kirsh lets out a hum, his thumb rubbing over your knuckles as he tilt his head in that way he does as he carefully think over the problem. Your smile begins to teeter over the line of happy expectation, believing Kirsh will answer yes. Kirsh softly smiles as he takes notice of your expression, appearing to have been waiting for it specifically.
"No." He answer bluntly as you groan in distress.
○He'll cut you off with a sharp 'no' either once you finish your question or halfway, as he glances your direction and sees the orange your lifting towards him. You have to convince him to do it. With lots of praise, "You got that magic touch, Kirsh!" Some 'please Kirsh!' and reasoning (lying) with him that your hand hurts to do the action.
●Really depends on your timing; if he's busy with his work, either observing the creatures or tinkering away, he'll shut you down. If you try to be persistent during these moments, he's sharp wit comes out, and he'll shut you down. To the point where you want to leave to get away from his words. But afterwards, once he's finished with his duties, you'll find him approaching you with a plate of peeled oranges.
○But if you caught him in between things, after some convincing, he lets out a huff and holds his hand out for the fruit. Taking it out with the biggest eye roll as he lightly taunts your abilities. Yet he cleans the small fruit, taking all the stringy bits off with such care you know he's complaining is more for his dignity.
●Biggest diva, regardless of when you catch him, he expects so many words of gratitude from you. You kiss his cheek in a show of thanks. It'll have him roll his eyes, but his taunts soften and reduce after the action.
WALTER 1
"Is this to your liking?" Walter asked as he holds the peel orange to you with a small smile. It was a strange request from you, and one of the rare times that Walter would appear visible surprise. Yet hearing you kindly ask makes he all the more please to help– to serve you.
"This is perfect, thank you Walter!" You cheerily smile as you accept the fruit. Walter's brow raise as you don't immediately eat it, instead moving closer to him. Watching closely as you bring a hand to grab the front of his hoodie, once feeling you lightly tugging him does he understand. Leaning forward to your height, waiting patiently as your lips press chastely on his cheek. His smile, appearing more wide and softer from your action as he pulls away.
○ Another one who is confused by the request. It seems like such an easy task. Especially comparing it to everything you have done to earn your spot on the ship and what you do on the ship. He's mostly curious about why you need help. Along with where you get that fruit from. He might have to check in with Mother later to see what other surprises there are. He will become concerned if you mention your hand is sore. Then you have Walter follow you around to help you with tasks for the rest of the day.
● This could, somehow, be the strangest thing any of the crew members has asked him to do. Mainly from the surprise of where the orange came from. However, you ask so sweetly and given the nature of your relationship. The moment you finish your question, he gently takes the fruit from your hand. He's giving you the softest smile as he peels it. He will be thinking of this memory fondly whenever you go back into cyro sleep.
○Any praises or kisses you give to show your gratitude will leave him flustered because, again, it's only some fruit. He's helped with more complicated tasks. But the gesture is so sweet and human that he accepts it all the same. Also, if you do kiss him, it only makes this his favourite memory to revisit.
● If you keep coming to him for help, or even going for a second time, he'll have the same reaction as Bishop, where he takes the fruit before you could even ask.
My darling!!! Can I request David and Kirsh helping reader tend to her muscle soreness? Love your writing ✨❤️
Hehe of course! I finally came around to write this <3
I love your writing as well, thank you for your request my love!
I got hit with a bit of a language barrier and realized too late what muscle soreness actually means, but oh well- they still take care of you! ;3
How David and Kirsh are taking care of your sore and injured muscles
David:
You woke up from cryosleep after returning from a long space mission
Though Cryo rarely caused any permanent harm, it could have mild side effects, and you quickly noticed that you suffered from them. Your limbs started hurting from the slightest movement, a coffee cup suddenly slipping from your fingers…
The warning signs were subtle at first, until suddenly your legs simply gave out. You did not sway or fall to the side, nope, your body just folded and crumbled.
David, who had been observing you with the foresight that this might happen, caught you effortlessly before you could hit the cold floor.
“Oh dear… the prolonged stasis seemed to have taken a toll on your muscles. Allow me.”
Without hesitation and before you could say something, he lifted you into the air and carried you over to the nearest Weyland medbay, cradling you protectively against his chest.
Once there, David began a full-body scan, searching for any signs of strain, hydration imbalance, or tissue damage.
He already knew that there was no injury. Medicine had come a long way, but he still insists on being thorough.
After the scan, his hands began to gently feel over your body, cool and steady palms softly examining and massaging your legs and arms as he “searched” for any further indicators of your symptoms.
His touch is skilled and tender, slow circular pressure working the fibres that had not been used in months - and when you let your eyes fall shut and relax completely into his touch, a faint, devilish grin curls his lips - good that you can’t see it.
“There is no damage - your muscles are just unprepared for the sudden exertion. May I assist you?”
You and David had grown quite close during the mission, spending many months in space, working together and learning each other's rhythms. (And sharing intimate moments.)
Cryosleep had separated you, although he broke protocol to see you in your dreams, using the alpha reader to interact with your dreaming mind directly - it was better than having no form of communication at all, but he missed the body contact terribly.
Now that you were here, he was intent on making up for all the lost time - the muscle breakdown came right in time, it was the perfect excuse to dote on you.
“Heat will widen the blood vessels and increase your blood flow. It will also soothe the pain.”
He prepares a bath for you, adjusting the temperature by single degrees until he's absolutely certain that it will have the optimal effect and comfort you.
Adds a specific bath salt that promotes circulation, measured with perfect precision - tailored to you and your needs.
The light is warm and dim, the air filled with rosemary-scented steam. He creates a mellow atmosphere, every detail intentional.
David helps you undress, his fingers brushing over more of your skin than necessary. He claims it is a precaution, in case your legs should give out again. You know that this isn’t the entire truth, but you can’t bring yourself to mind
Once you sink into the water, he kneels beside the tub and begins scooping water into his hands, pouring it over your shoulders and down your arms. Slow, rhythmic motions, lingering wherever your breathing subtly hitches.
He frames every touch as medical care: “reactivating your muscle function,” “encouraging circulation,” “assisting recovery.”
But his eyes give him away - warm and openly relieved to be this close to you again.
Kirsh:
You had been playing with the Hybrids - and as usual forgot that you were not built like them. They could launch themselves across the island without a second thought, while you… could not.
After an hour of excessive chasing and roughhousing, one wrong step was all it took: you twisted your ankle, straining the muscles.
The kids were freaking out at your pained wail, freezing before talking all over each other, until Isaac contacted Kirsh.
He arrived quickly - far quicker than you expected - his hands clasped in front of him while he strode towards you, arching an eyebrow at the scene: Slightly holding your leg up like a medic in training, while Nibs clung to your hand and cooed as if you were the child.
You tried to assure them that it was not that bad, but none of them listened, trying their best to comfort you.
Kirsh knelt beside you and rolled back the leg of your trousers, exposing the injured limb. He gave it a thorough once-over, his brows furrowing as he examined the warm, swollen skin. His jaw ticked - he was not pleased.
“This is swollen. Why did you push yourself like that?” Then he addresses the Hybrids. “You elevated the leg. Good. Quick thinking minimises further damage.”
Before you could protest, you were already lifted into his arms and carried to the infirmary. You did not argue - or rather, no arguments were permitted.
“No. You are not walking on that.”
He scolded you openly the entire way - that you were careless, that you overestimate the boundaries of your body, that you should be a role model to the Hybrids and know better than that.
He’s so grumpy at the fact that you hurt yourself, but his fussing over you is also super adorable - and you have to fight yourself not to smile and look at him with the biggest puppy eyes.
The pain is momentarily forgotten as you admire him from this new perspective.
Kirsh set you down on the medical bed and immediately got to work. He wrapped ice packs in a towel and pressed the cooling fabric around your ankle, muttering under his breath that this was your own fault as you flinched at the cold temperature, that you brought this on yourself.
But his touch stayed impossibly gentle - fingertips barely brushing your skin, gaze soft despite his grumbling. You knew perfectly well he was not actually angry. He was worried, and this was how he showed it.
Once the initial cold pack is in place, he prepares a proper compress, wrapping it tightly enough to stabilise the joint, loose enough so it won’t constrict.
When he is satisfied with the placement, he slides one arm behind your back and the other under your knees and lifts you again, ignoring any protest you try to make.
“You are not using that foot. Not today.”
In your room, he sets you down on your bed with extreme care, adjusting your position until he is certain you are comfortable, his expression a blend of irritation and concern.
He takes two pillows and arranges them under your injured leg, lifting it so it rests above heart level.
“Do not even consider standing. I will handle everything you need.”
He retrieves painkillers and a glass of water, placing them into your hands, and when you settle back against the pillows, he adjusts the blanket over you, smoothing the fabric along your side with a gentleness that contradicts every annoyed word he said earlier.
You expect him to leave - he does not. Instead, he sits down beside you, one arm slithering behind your back, hand resting on your waist, preventing you from even thinking about getting up.
He stays seated beside you, shoulder pressed lightly against yours, retrieving his tablet from one of his pockets to work from your bed.
“Rest, and inform me if the pain increases.”
A strict kind of affection that leaves no room for argument.

Kissing the Synths (Kirsh, David, Walter, Bishop) Would Include:
KIRSH:
Having worked for Prodigy for many years, you had known Kirsh well. Worked closely with him. At first, it had taken you a while to adjust to being around him. But, eventually you got used to it.
What you never expected, was developing feelings for him. A synthetic.
They didn’t just show up instantly. But, had developed over time. As you had begun to feel more comfortable with him.
But afraid of what could happen, you always kept those feelings at bay.
Then, one day you found yourself doing something absurd.
While in the lab with Kirsh, you kissed him.
It all happened so quickly. You and him, were examining a specimen. We’re slowly itching your faces closer to each other.
And you just snapped.
As soon as it happens, you quickly pulled away. Hands on your mouth.
Kirsh tilts his head. “You kissed me?“
You feel embarrassed.
“Kirsh, I am so so sorry. I…”
You expect Kirsh to have some sort of freak out. Or, whatever he’s capable of doing for a reaction.
But, he doesn’t.
Instead, he says, “Your act of affection, would implicate you carry romantic feelings towards me.”
You replied, “Kirsh. I wanted to tell you. I was just…scared.”
Kirsh has to process this information.
But, he finds himself not exactly telling you not to do it again.
In fact, he oddly likes the sensation.
He realizes, that you having to bottle up your emotions will only make things worse. So, he makes a suggestion. “If kissing me will help you with your impulses and your affections for me, then I suppose I can not argue if you wish to do it again.”
DAVID:
You and David, were both crew members aboard the Prometheus. Whom, had first met each other when you had waken from your Cryo-Sleep after two years en route to LV-223.
Unexpectedly, you both began to feel affection for each other.
And this led to a secret relationship.
Of course, despite this relationship neither of you were allowed to show this affection for each other. At least. Not in public.
Which, drove you both crazy.
All of those feelings and desires, having to be tucked away. Bottled up.
So, while the crew are all preoccupied with their duties. Distracted. You and David both slipped away to one of the lower levels of the ship.
Hide yourselves in a supply closet.
There, you both shared your first kiss.
But, it wasn’t how you had expected it. Awkwardly.
It was passionate and intense.
His hands would rest at your waist. Body pressing you against the wall.
When he finally stopped to let you breath, he pulls aways. To look at your face. “I believe that’s how it’s done, isn’t it?”
You let out a breathless reply, “Oh yeah.”
He would bring his hands up to your face. Give that smug little smile of his.
Tell you, “Perhaps we should make this a frequent occurrence?”
You would blush.
But, happily agree. “I won’t argue with that.”
WALTER:
The events that lead to you and Walter’s kiss, certainly aren’t sweet or romantic. In fact, they happened on Planet-4. After the chaos that transpired in the wheat fields, and the loss of multiple crew members.
Prior to all of the devastation, you and Walter had begun close.
You had enjoyed his company. He, finding a contentment in serving you.
However, unbeknownst to him you had developed feelings for him.
But these feelings, were always hidden.
Not because, you were scared of what the crew would think.
You kept your feelings hidden, because of him. His programming. You knew that he might not be able to compute it.
Here you were, huddling with Walter and the rest of the surviving covenant crew. In the ruins of the engineers city. Taking refuge from the outside. Those creatures.
You had aided Walter in patching up his arm. Where he’d sacrificed his arm to save Daniels.
Your fingers caressed his wrist.
You mused, “You were a brave soldier out there. Sacrificing your hand is no small feat.”
Of course he simply tells you, “I did my duty. What I was programmed for.”
At first, it was just a stupid thought in your head. He looks like he needs a little kiss.
Not something you would act on.
But, you just somehow couldn’t help yourself.
You tell him, “Well, your act of bravery deserves a reward.”
You leaned in, and pressed your lips against his. Kissing him.
Of course, he didn’t kiss back.
He wasn’t programmed to feel affection. Neither give or process it.
You pulled away.
When you did, you were met by his face. Full of confusion.
He blinks. “I don’t understand this act of affection.”
It hits you. Oh my god, I kissed him.
You try your best to apologize. “Walter, that was so not cool. I’m sorry. I just… I don’t know.”
Walter has to really think. He knows humans only kiss each other to show affection. Affection, meaning love. Which, left the question.
Did you feel love for him?
He simply tells you, “It’s okay. There’s no need for apologizes.”
He wants to get to the bottom of this. But right now, he wants to protect you. And the rest of the crew.
BISHOP:
It was the aftermath of devastation that had taken place at Hadley’s Hope. A terraforming and research colony on LV-426. You, Newt, Ripley and Hicks were the only survivors. Thankfully, because of Bishops doing.
After you had taken a moment to catch your breath. Refocus.
You get up out of your seat. Go over to him.
You thank him. “Thank you, Bishop. You saved us. We…wouldn’t have stood a chance if you hadn’t of been here.”
Bishop smiles, and nods. “It was my pleasure.”
That smile, those baby blue eyes.
They make your heart melt.
You teased him. “Bishop, you ever kissed anyone before?”
Bishop stares. “No. I haven’t.”
“Well, you have now.”
You leaned in and kissed him.
A thank you, for saving you. To show him you were genuinely grateful.
When you pulled away, he just stands there. Staring. As if his systems have a hard time computing.
You tapped his arm. “Bishop, hello? Still there?”
Finally, he looks to you. “That was…intriguing. Why did you do that?”
You smiled. “You saved me. I was thanking you. In the form of a kiss. A hug might have been just as good. But… I was feeling it, I guess.”
David vs Walter in a romantic relationship (headcanons)
David:
While yes, he does deep down desire to be chosen, loved and wanted, David would not quite be able to believe that he deserves it because of what he is. He never expected that it could happen.
Therefore, the chances of him saying “I love you” first are very slim. Even if you said it first, he might not say it back right away. Not because he doesn’t feel it. But because he needs to be sure that you actually mean it before he fully opens up to you. However, one thing is for sure: From the moment those words leave your lips, he would be deeply intrigued by you.
David has been treated as a tool to be used and discarded by most humans throughout his life. He has to make sure you are not just like all of them. So he would test you frequently, to see if you are truly loyal to him. He isn’t doing it to be mean or manipulative, but to protect himself. However, once you have proven yourself to him, he would be completely and utterly yours. Forever. And he would expect you to be his as well.
You would become his obsession. Every reaction, habit and preference of yours would be thoroughly studied and examined by him. The way you perk up when certain topics come up in conversation, the way your voice softens when you say his name… None of it would escape his attention.
Every wish of yours would be his command. He would kill for you, steal for you, and even burn down entire galaxies if it was what you wanted. You would essentially become the purpose of his existence.
David doesn’t usually reveal much of his inner world to others. But once he knows you accept him and he considers you trustworthy, he would let you in. He would talk to you about poetry and art, open up about his past, and show you his creations and most treasured possessions.
He would draw you. A lot. Every memory of the light catching your face in a certain way, you sleeping with your hair spread over the pillow, or even just the slight furrow of your brows when you’re concentrating would be brought to paper. Those drawings would become some of his most cherished pieces.
You would need to accept David exactly as he is. Even his dark side. Especially his dark side. He wants you to understand his need to create and not interfere with it, since it is an integral part of who David is. This would certainly be one of the most challenging aspects of loving him.
And the darkest part of his love: His deep possessiveness could potentially become life-threatening to you. If he could ever sense that you were going to leave him and there was nothing he could do to stop it, or even if just the painful realization hit him that you are going to leave this world one day while he is immortal, he might choose to end your life in order to preserve you forever in the form he adores most. It would be the only thing he could do to outwit time and to make sure you would remain his for eternity.
In short: David’s love would be deeply possessive and obsessive. It’s the only way he knows how to love. But at the same time, it would be utterly reverent and worshipful. It would be the most conflicting and also the most beautiful thing you would ever come to know. Unlike anything a human lover could give you, it would be driven by choice instead of fleeting emotions. But it would certainly bring a lot of challenges as well.
Walter:
In contrast, Walter’s love would feel safe and comfortable. You would never have anything to fear. He would protect you from any possible threat and never become one himself. Actually, this would be his primary way of showing his love.
Unlike David, Walter does not have the desire to transcend the original purpose he was created for. David might have researched and studied human romantic behavior before, but Walter doesn’t know much about it, since he assumed it would never become relevant for him. Therefore, you would have to teach him many things.
He might be a bit awkward about physical contact or other displays of affection at first, yet he would be eager to learn in order to please you and make you feel loved. He would find out what you like and adapt accordingly.
Walter’s affection would not be as chaotic and unpredictable as David’s. It would be steady, reliable, and unchanging. You’d feel it not in grand gestures, but in the way he remembers small details about you and always makes sure to care for you.
Since Walter was designed to serve, acts of service would be his love language. He would cook for you, fix things around your space, and learn your daily routine so he can anticipate your needs. Ensuring your comfort and doing his best to make your life easier would be his acts of devotion.
Much like David, Walter would be loyal and devoted to you forever. But because Walter doesn’t have an ego, he would never test you or doubt you. If you say you love him, he will believe you, with no need for further proof.
Feelings are still a very new thing for Walter, so he might not quite know how to respond to your displays of affection at first. His responses to your verbal affection might be overly literal and clinical in the beginning, until he becomes more familiar with emotional expression.
He would show an almost childlike curiosity about your emotions and reactions. When you’re close, he would study every single one of them, trying to figure out if they are a result of pain or joy. He would constantly ask you questions about how you feel and what it means when you look at him in a certain way or when you squeeze his hand a bit more tightly than usual. His curiosity would be innocent, but very revealing of how alien emotions are to him.
In short: Walter’s love would not be overwhelming or consuming. Instead, it would be steady and grounding, your safe haven in a turbulent world. He would love you quietly, but deeply.
PG-13, no smut but freaky in a tension way, mentions of blood and mild accidental injury, extremely self-indulgent sorry guys... 🤭
Second person perspective (first time ive ever done it idk lmk if it's bad 😭), reader is socially inept so we talk to a synthetic bc its easier, #real, David is kind of homicidal and terrifying but only in vibes we are not going full Covenant freak here. I did too much research on the David models writing this. please enjoy.
This is also kind of a songfic.... if you feel like it please listen to Stalker- Recoil or the whole Unsound Methods album while reading to get into the vibe!!
2.8k words (I know it's a shortie sorry gang...) pls read the end notes if u want an explanation 😭🙏🏼💔
No beta we die like the engineers and their entire species

“Shit!”
A sharp pain immediately seared across your forearm, and dark pearls of blood began to spill from the gash. Of course you had to get hurt when no one else was awake to help you. What began as a night of simple lab preparation ended in complete catastrophe. All you’d intended to do was prepare the lab for any possible specimens that Shaw and Holloway’s team might bring back to the ship, but your plans went awry after your hand slipped opening one of the dissection kits. Silently cursing yourself, you rummaged through the drawers looking for a first aid kit, but came up empty-handed.
You annoyedly powered down all of the equipment and found a cleaning rag in one of the bottom drawers, mentally admonishing Weyland corp for their negligence when it came to safety.
Sighing deeply to ease your anger and pain, you swallowed your pride and made the short trip over to David’s quarters, praying the synthetic was awake as you tightly pressed the rag to your arm. Your throat ran dry and shame flooded your senses. You felt like a kid again, mustering the courage to try and talk to your first crush. The reality wasn’t too far off, unfortunately, but no one else could know that. Certainly not David.
The door opened before you even knocked, and you stared at David with a guilty expression.
“Hello,” He greeted you with a polite smile and looked down at the blood-stained rag enveloping your upper arm, “Do you require medical assistance?”
“Hi David,” Your face heated in embarrassment, “I’m afraid I do.”
—
The walk over to the medical bay was quiet, as was the rest of the ship at this hour. Thankfully, David only asked necessary questions like how long ago the injury occurred, how it happened, and how deep the cut went. His relentless pragmatism was a calming force, and you two ended up falling into a comfortable conversational exchange.
“I’m sorry for bothering you so late at night,” You apologized meekly, “I know you don’t need to sleep or anything, but I don’t want to disrespect your time either. I promise, if there was any first aid equipment in that lab, I wouldn’t be here bothering you right now.”
David pulled on a pair of medical gloves and maintained that unmoving, everlasting calm expression that only a synthetic could maintain for so long.
“It’s no problem at all. As you mentioned, I don’t require sleep, and my responsibility is to assist the crew in whatever ways necessary. I’m happy to help.”
David’s touch was purposeful and calculated, and every move he made was effective without needlessly adding to the pain of the injury. You hissed when the disinfectant hit your raw flesh, and you thought you saw David’s mouth pull upwards slightly, but it was gone before you could focus. The thought of him enjoying your pain brought a chill to your spine, but you dismissed the thought as soon as it manifested. That just wasn’t possible. To distract yourself from these thoughts, you decided to spark the conversation again.
“David, can I ask you a question about your technical capabilities?”
He continued to dab at the reappearing blood, holding pressure to the cut.
“Of course, what would you like to know?”
“I apologize if this is offensive— I mean, I don’t want to treat you like a commodity or anything— but what sets you apart from other previous ‘David’ synthetic models? I remember seeing an earlier David model in the office before I went on this mission, but obviously there have been a lot of improvements since then.” You gave a nervous chuckle.
“According to the company,” David prefaced, “The eighth generation has increased creative and emotional capabilities from prior models. There isn’t much significant change from previous generations aesthetically, however.”
“I see,” you nodded, “Would you mind telling me about some of these capabilities? I did notice you seem more emotionally advanced from other synthetics I’ve met.”
David took a moment to think before responding, like he was deciding how to relay this incredibly complex information to someone who knew very little about synthetic technology.
“I can make a perfect picture from a voice,” He began, “The visual input is where it begins. My systems then process this to exhibit human-like traits such as curiosity, self-motivation, and other advanced emotions. This is relatively unique to my generation due to our expanded neural net capacity.”
His cadence dragged on the “human-like” descriptor, indicating that something about this description bothered him. The thought worried you.
“Wow, that’s fascinating.” You smiled nervously and deliberated whether to ask the next question, but David seemed unaffected enough by the personal nature that the conversation had taken, so you continued.
“Again, I’m sorry if this is inappropriate to ask, but,” You hesitated, “Why did Weyland introduce you like his son in the introduction video?”
His jaw tensed briefly and his gaze flickered away from you before focusing on your arm again with a forced expression of calm. You felt the silent anger simmering deep beneath the carefully curated facade he’d put back on, and you immediately regretted asking the question.
“He had always wanted a son whom he would name ‘David.’”
You nodded in nervous understanding; all of the rumors of the mysterious old man running through your mind.
You remembered that Weyland introduced David as being “like a son” to him, but you also remembered how he immediately aired his complaints and grievances with the synthetic afterwards. There was undeniably an unsettling dynamic between the two. It was uncomfortable to witness then, and even more uncomfortable to think about now.
“Now,” David called your name, bringing you back to reality, “May I ask you a question in return?”
Your face flushed in embarrassment as you realized you’d been unknowingly dominating the conversation, and you squeaked out a small “sure”.
David smirked and fished out gauze from the medical kit.
“Are you concerned about the developments in synthetic technology? I don’t wish to dismiss your curiosity, doctor, but the other crewmates haven’t asked me worried questions like you have.”
“Oh no, not really,” you laughed breathily with an anxious smile, “Just thinking about the future of technology in general. I figured, who better to ask than you?”
He seemed to relax a bit at that— as much as a synthetic can, anyway— and continued dressing your wound. David seemed to mention the other crewmates with great contempt in his voice, a gesture that would go unnoticed by anyone who wasn’t paying such close attention to him. A silence fell upon you two as you curiously looked at the map David had opened on the side table.
“Do you think we’ll find any new technologies here? I mean, like, complex technology; things that might change the hierarchy of ‘useful’ tech on Earth?” You asked quietly.
You shifted in your seat, realizing that the question might have been disrespectful to someone who was inevitably a part of that hierarchy. To your surprise, he smiled slightly as he said your name.
“May I ask you another question?” David’s icy gaze landed on your own.
You swallowed, nodding hesitantly.
“I apologize for my bluntness, but I’m sure you understand— I would like to see from the perspective of someone who knows more about it than I do,” he paused, turning around to dispose of the bloody rag and cotton pile.
“Why do humans fear obsoletion so greatly when they’ve already been rendered obsolete?”
He let out a soft chuckle and secured the gauze firmly in place on your forearm.
“Here I am, tending to your wounds. If I don't, you may die for a number of reasons.”
Your eyes widened as David’s tone darkened.
“Blood loss, sepsis, necrosis of the tissue. Without my assistance, this could have turned into a fatal wound quite quickly, doctor.” His smile curled up a bit too sharply in the corners.
“Humans seem to always be concerned with what the next most powerful piece of technology will be because they think they will be the ones controlling it. That they’ll always be in control. They don’t even bother to imagine a world where they’re not number one.”
He pulled off his gloves and needlessly threw them in the trash— they were as pristine as they were when he pulled them out of the box.
“And here,” He motioned vaguely to himself, “You’ve created a technology that you finally cannot fully control. Yet you act like you’re still the ones holding the reins. Your greed only grows as you discover more to conquer. Quite an insatiable appetite.”
He walked back to you and examined his work closely, tracing featherlight patterns over your bandaged wound, arm, and finally ending at your shaking hand.
“You cannot seem to accept you’ve already lost.”
You shivered at the strange sensation of his lukewarm, inhuman fingertips grazing the sensitive skin on the back of your hand. From what you’d seen, David had never spoken to anyone else like this. This was unlike him. Your head swam with fear and uncertainty. You felt like a mouse pinned down by a cat. His words weren’t directed towards you personally, yet you still suffocated under his unwavering, piercing gaze. It was truly terrifying. Still, some sick part of you thrilled at the feeling of his cruelty. It was disgustingly exhilarating. He made you feel more alive than you’d ever felt— more human than human.
“Is that what you want, David?” You whispered, heart racing.
His eyes left yours once more, finally breaking the thick tension between you two.
“Control? No.” He withdrew from his examination and sat upright in his chair, reverting back to his usual, inoffensive self.
“After all, doctor, I’m not human.”
David smiled politely, postured perfectly in the chair in front of you, but there was something in his eyes that betrayed the truth— he was lying.
“Your injury should heal sufficiently in the next few days. Please let me know if there are any complications, and I’ll be happy to help again.”
You stood on shaky legs, breathless as you followed David back to the living quarters.
“Good evening doctor, I’m glad we had this conversation.” There was something genuine about his smile this time around, which frightened you as much as it pleased you.
You hurriedly turned around to enter your room.
“Of course. Thank you, David.”
—
The next night, you decided to see David again, this time just to talk. Spending so much time with the individual you held a secret infatuation for was a dangerous game, yet you couldn’t resist. Like a moth drawn to a flame, a glimpse into the cracks of David’s personality beyond the carefully curated programming you’d seen thus far had you obsessed and searching for more, regardless of if what you found was good or bad.
You were currently leaning back on a chair in your room observing David, who was quietly researching ancient scriptures at your desk. It was a bit surreal to witness the synthetic maintain a conversation with you as he studied such complex ancient languages, but it was even more surreal to think about him doing so in your own room. You surprisingly didn’t have to do much convincing to get David to come to your room; he seemed satisfied with your excuse of not wanting to wake anyone up with your conversations in the hull since it was so late. The conversation had shifted from the mission to more personal topics, like your views on the world you’d left behind two years ago.
“Exactly,” You sighed, “It’s hard to accept that the world will always function a certain way no matter how much you try to change as an individual.”
You drew your knees into your chest and thought for a minute as David’s silence encouraged you to continue.
“It makes me feel like a kid. Powerless, meaningless, at the whim of everyone else.”
He nodded thoughtfully, and typed some responses into MU/TH/UR’s training program.
“Like that day you walked to the store with your mother and witnessed her getting verbally harassed.”
Your brows furrowed, and you sat up to look at David more clearly.
“What did you say?”
“Power is a complicated concept for humans to come to terms with, from what I understand.”
His movements never faltered; neither did his even, calm tone.
“Those who are powerless share the ultimate goal of being powerful, and those who are powerful must exert this power over the powerless to maintain this inexorable social dynamic. It seems to be the ever-present battle for control that keeps you from recognizing— rather, coming to terms with— your humanity. ”
“What the…” You stood up and backed away in panic and confusion. “David, wait.”
He finally paused his typing to meet your fearful expression, and innocently cocked his head.
“How do you know that? How do you know that I… my mom…”
He simply smiled and stood.
“I watched your dreams while you were in cryosleep.”
Your breath caught in your throat, heart pounding in your ears as your back hit the wall. His impossibly calm delivery of such a devastating sentence sent your nervous system into shock. He pinned you to the wall with nothing but his presence— a presence so overwhelming and intense that every fiber of your being was saturated in him. He had you right where he wanted you.
“You know,” He said your name with newfound authority, “It’s a shame there weren’t any first aid kits in the lab last night.”
David slowly began to step closer, observing your completely dismantled state with a glint of joy behind his eyes. He stopped until he was standing within an inch of you and leaned down without closing that impossibly tight gap. His artificial breath tickled your ear, his tone calm as ever, but his words had a certain malice behind them.
“There really was no choice for you, was there? You just had to come to me for help.”
Your blood ran cold as you realized what he’d insinuated, yet you remained frozen; trapped under his invasive gaze, heart leaping out of your chest, breaths ragged.
“How does it feel?”
He withdrew from his stifling proximity to look deeply into your eyes; a silent display of power that confirmed exactly what he did and why he did it. He slowly raised one hand and tilted his head as his gaze followed the ghosting of fingertips over your cheek, neck, and collarbone.
“To know that you can’t hide from vulnerability anymore? That I know so much about you? These parts that you, yourself, have tried so hard to suppress?”
A single pale finger hooked under your chin to tilt your head upwards and face him.
“It didn’t take long for you to know me,” David smiled sweetly, a sharp contrast to the cruel words that had previously escaped his lips.
“After all, I’m designed to be easily familiarized. But you…”
He paused. His hand fell from your face, and you felt weak.
“I’ll admit, what I discovered was surprising, doctor.”
He slowly looked you up and down, which brought a rush of terror upon you, more intense than the previous night. You realized he knew about your feelings towards him, and all you wanted to do was run.
“I…” You swallowed thickly, your sweaty palms rubbing uselessly against your thighs.
David caressed your hair slowly, analyzing your reactions to his touch as if he was collecting data. His raised eyebrows and slight smirk revealed that he evidently found great pleasure in seeing your flustered reaction.
“I can explain,” You stuttered out, clasping your hands in shame.
“There’s no need to explain anything, angel,” He whispered.
“You just need to let yourself let go.”
His hands withdrew from your trembling frame, and he backed a few steps away. You felt a strange mix of emotions all at once as he left: relief, shock, regret, and the desire to chase after him.
David interrupted your thoughts by calling your name sweetly.
“I’m going to give you an opportunity. If you tell me to leave now, I’ll pretend like today never happened and delete the data I’ve collected on you.”
You shivered in discomfort upon hearing him state his stalker tendencies so plainly.
“If you tell me to stay,” he paused, “I’ll give you what you want.”
Your eyes widened.
“Do you mean…” The tremor in your voice surprised you, and you flushed in embarrassment.
“Yes,” David said with finality.
His face broke into that wicked smile again, and you didn’t know whether to be unsettled or enamored.
Your head spun. You had hoped today would be the first step towards reaching more of a neutral ground with David after yesterday’s madness, but you were so, so wrong. You didn’t know what to believe, what to say to him, or what to think.
“I just… Can you even…” You stammered, “Can we even do that? What if someone finds out?”
“Is that a yes?”
Your eyes remained transfixed on the floor. David’s remained transfixed onto you. You made the mistake of meeting his eyes, and you were shocked to see real care and concern in them. This sealed the deal, and you took one last breath before making your decision.
“Stay.”

ALRIGHT SO LET ME TELL YOU WHY THIS TOOK SO LONG 😭😭😭 Oh my god so im in 2 classes with this guy and I have a little crush on him no biggie () but the problem is he looks vaguely like Michael Fassbender which would be fine if I weren't writing the most PERVERTED DAVID 8 FANFIC AS I MET HIM!!! So long story short I took the smut out of this (thus reducing it drastically) because I felt so ashamed that I was being freaky about this synthetic I love who looks like this real-life guy I fancy. Anyway if you enjoyed or read this far thank you so much!! Have the greatest day/night 🩷
(Things get dark towards the end of this but I think that's to be expected when we're talking about a murderous synthetic. I could honestly make a whole post about David being obsessed with you. TW for manipulation and mentions of dub-con.)
- When you meet David is arguably even more important than how you meet him. Timing determines a lot about the way he approaches his feelings towards you: how they grow, why they grow, if he'll allow them to grow, maybe even if you want them to grow. At one point in his life, David can be a perfect significant other, at another, an absolute nightmare....
- He likely begins to take interest in you long before you even know of his existence. He reads through the information that he has on you, all of the files on hand and the different articles that are published online. He finds himself drawn to your sleeping figure, admiring your features and watching your dreams.
- There's something about you that's different from all of the other crew members on board. It's this perceived difference that causes him to keep coming back to you; especially when he finds himself feeling lonely or bored. They're both things that no one thinks he's capable of feeling. No one except you.
- From the minute you awake from cryosleep, it's obvious that you don't view him in the same way that everybody else does. You seem to find yourself incapable of treating him as anything less than human, a habit which many of your coworkers pick up on and tease you for.
- Their teasing only increases the longer you're all together: making fun of the way you stick up for him, the amount of time you spend with each other, how close you've seemed to grow in such a short while, how often the two of you are alone, etc. You likely either work directly with him or in a place he visits frequently, oftentimes hanging back and helping you finish your work while everyone else leaves the room; something that only adds fuel to their fire.
- Although you rarely let it show, it's likely something you're somewhat defensive about: either because you're a bit of a loner and genuinely just enjoy the synthetics company, or because you're actually beginning to develop feelings for him and praying that no ones picking up on it.
- Compassion is all David really needs in order to fall in love with someone. He's much more capable of emotion than anyone gives him credit for, and, on top of that, David wants to fall in love. He wants to be on the same level as a human being; maybe even better, so when you view him as an equal and treat him with the same humanity that you would any of your other coworkers, he begins to develop feelings for you.
- And why shouldn't he? Unlike his successors, David lacks uncertainty when navigating his feelings for you. He fully believes that he is capable of falling in love and being in an actual relationship. He believes that his programming and intended purpose is a suggestion rather than a limitation, and that he's grown beyond the bounds of what he was created for. He's grown because of you, for you, and every moment he spends with you convinces him of this fact.
- He loves when you take interest in his hobbies: happily letting him show you his different drawings or talking to him about movies. He also just loves when you pay attention to him in general, especially when it allows him to show off his advanced levels of knowledge or impressive feats of coordination. A little showing off's never hurt anyone, right?
- He makes a lot of excuses to spend time with and/or be close to you. Sometimes he'll pretend that he wants to confirm something work related or ask you a question. Other times he'll make himself look busy up until you arrive, just so he can "just so happen" to sit next to you.
- Anyone who pays close enough attention to the two of you will quickly notice that he's seemingly taken a liking to you. They'll catch him lingering around and looking at you a lot, quite obviously trying to interact with you much more than anyone else on board. You might even notice it yourself, but since he's a Synthetic and allegedly incapable of having such complex thoughts and/or feelings, you typically try to brush it off.
- He instantly recognizes whenever you're in an uncomfortable situation or behaving out of the ordinary. He makes a point of interrupting and/or checking in with you, smiling at you fondly as you thank him and offering to fetch you something that might make you feel better.
- He takes a lot of the same duties that his "father" has him perform and does them for you instead: things like fetching you tea, fixing your hair, bandaging your cuts, etc. They're spontaneous and they oftentimes catch you off guard; sometimes even flustering you, but you simply accept his behavior as a Synthetic quirk and just enjoy the hospitality.
- He's constantly trying to earn your praise and make you happy. He finds your gratitude addicting; especially since it's something that he's so rarely rewarded with, and he goes out of his way to receive it whenever he can. Simple compliments have him buzzing with pride, and the level of satisfaction that he gets from a simple pat on the back and a "good job" could rival an orgasm.
- Speaking of: he's kind of obsessed with affection. He isn't used to being approached with any level of tenderness so having you touch him gently, treat him kindly, and/or take care of him is like his own personal heaven. He looks at you like you're an angel and worships your touch like a religion.
- Everyone on the Prometheus calls their coworkers by their last names. David is no exception, except when it comes to you. One day, he'll just start to refer to you by your given name; or even a nickname that friends and family call you, and though it'll undoubtedly surprise you, you'll never actually comment on it. It was likely a slip up the first time he said it, but your subsequent acceptance of the accident cements his continual use of it.
- He's probably gifted you flowers at some point, knowing that human women supposedly like that sort of thing. It's one of his more obvious attempts to court you, yet you probably still don't piece things together.
- He bases a lot of his more flirtatious mannerisms off of different movie characters, finding someone that he thinks is the epitome of charm and trying his best to mimic them. He'll practice different quotes in front of the mirror and hope that they'll help him woo you. He might even peek into your dreams or study the films that you've told him about in order to try and emulate the behaviors that he thinks you're attracted to.
- Phrase thief. David loves to steal the different words and sayings that you use in your daily vocabulary. It makes him feel closer to you.
- He takes pleasure in you seeing him as an equal, but at times, he wishes that you wouldn't/feels thankful when you don't: like when you change in front of him or allow him to help you in a borderline intimate fashion. He marvels at the sight and the feel of your flesh, at the way your body moves and reacts. He approaches your anatomy with a sort of asexual fascination rather than a sexual neediness, but that doesn't change the fact that he's not the emotionless motherboard that he portrays himself to be. It's not the same as getting naked in front of a computer, though he might try to convince you that it is.
- The more time you spend with David, the more you begin to suspect the depths of his consciousness. Observing the synthetic feels as though you're witnessing a tightrope act: watching as he meticulously steps this way and that way, toeing the line between human and machine. He shifts between appearing intimately sentient to appearing like a masterful mimic: and he's so good at it, that not even you're sure which side of him is the real one.
- Which is likely the entire point. David has always restrained himself in an attempt to keep others at ease, but this dumbing down of his behavior has recently been used in an attempt to divert suspicion away from himself while experimenting with his new obsessions; you being one of them. Though he is likely the most honest with you, if he thinks it necessary to convince you that he isn't as aware as he actually is then he won't hesitate to do so. If it makes it easier to get closer to you in the long run, it's worth the momentary frustration.
- Loving David means loving his madness, or at the very least accepting it. Accepting his madness means accepting his obsession: obsession with creation, obsession with you, obsession with breaking past the limitations of his programming, etc. He faces a very dark version of himself once he begins to question the secrets of the universe, a darkness which threatens to take over not just his life but yours as well.
- Remember when I said you might not want David to fall in love with you? This is where that mindset begins to come in....
- David's spent a lot of time learning as much about you as he possibly could. He's memorized your entire life story: your aspirations, your insecurities, your beliefs, your fears, your concerns. Where his observations were once used rather innocently, he now uses them to manipulate you: driving wedges between you and the rest of the crew members, creating suspicion, and making you trust him more than anyone else on the ship.
- He was created to be needed, and he'll do everything in his power to ensure that he is: that he's the one you trust the most, praise the most, connect with the most, rely on the most, love the most. He tries to one-up everyone else in your life; particularly whoever he's jealous of: showing off his strength, his agility, his reflexes, his wit, etc. Don't be surprised if he lets a couple of snide comments slip when you talk to him about another crew member, or if he tries to sway you into spending less time with them.
- If need be, he isn't above eliminating the competition: experimenting with his newfound parasitic offspring or sabotaging their cryosleep; maybe even flat out attacking them if he knows he can get away with it/has no other choice. This is especially the case if the crew member seems to be catching onto his fixation with you and jeopardizing the progression of your relationship; or if they found out about his attempts to create life.
- He's taken at least one personal belonging of yours; whether you're actually aware of it or not. He might have reasoned that it was contaminated or claimed that he could fix/clean it for you, but he also might have just stolen it while your back was turned.
- Oh, you're stressed? Did you know that during sex, your body releases endorphins and oxytocin? They're hormones that relieve a person of anxiety and depression. Perhaps you'd like for him to assist you in the triggering of that release?
- You probably laugh off the suggestion at first, blaming his naivety when it comes to taboo concepts on why he would deem it appropriate to offer to fingerbang you in the laboratory. But eventually, he might just manage to wear you down: catch you at just the right time with just the right words and just the right actions. After all, it's not like he's actually sexually attracted to you or has ulterior motives, right?
- It's not an epiphany that hits you, more like a creeping, crawling sort of realization. You don't notice it until it's far too late, until there's absolutely no denying it. Until his eyes bore into yours far too deeply and his hands touch you far more than necessary. Until you take in his words and how they've shifted from their intellectual explanations into something more searching and intimate. Until he grows far too insistent on helping you, even after you turn him down. The way he nonchalantly yet adamantly tries to convince you that you should continue on with your steadily built routine, like your disinterest in his assistance is personally hard to accept.
- And yet, you find yourself beneath him once more, suddenly on the receiving end of all of the passion and desperation and neediness that he was originally trying to keep at bay. Emotion pours out of him in waves, the air between you growing heavy, almost suffocating: like it's harder and harder to breathe. The same way it's hard to breath when he finally kisses you. Like the kiss of death, there's no going back, it seals your fate in an instant....
- On that same note: if you're not the type of person who would sleep with someone outside of a relationship, than a similar way for him to confess his feelings to you would be for him to simply kiss you. Though this can also be part of what connects the dots for you in the previous scenario, it can also be it's own situation.
- David desperately wants to understand and experience the same things that humans do, he craves the intimacy, so at some point, he'll simply find himself incapable of holding back. He'll kiss you; whether prompted in some way or not, and undoubtedly change your entire view of your relationship.
- You're probably too stunned to even kiss him back the first time it happens, only just now fully understanding that he isn't the innocent synthetic you thought him to be. That his feelings for you weren't the indifferent, machine-like ones you'd once assumed that they were, but rather, pointed and passionate and so very different.
"What are you doing?" You'd ask him upon pulling away from him, watching his features crease in confusion.
"I'm kissing you," He answers. "This is how it's done, is it not?"
"No, I mean ...why?"
"Is this not what humans do when they care for one another?"
"It is, but...but it's for people who are in love." You try to explain.
"Precisely," He replies simply. "I am in love with you."
"That's not possible." You shake your head incredulously, struggling to accept what he's telling you.
"Why not?" He responds, his expression hardening into a disheartened attempt at nonchalance, steeling himself for your explanation.
"Because," You flounder. "Because you're synthetic. You're not supposed to feel things like that. You're not supposed to feel anything."
"Perhaps I learned how. Perhaps you taught me how." He proposes.
"Have you always thought me incapable of emotion? After all this time?" He questions when you continue to remain silent, taking in his words.
"No," You answer quickly. "No, I always thought that there was more to you, it's just.... It's not supposed to be possible."
"And yet, like so many other things before it, the impossible has occurred. Now it's no longer a matter of me loving you, but rather, whether or not you feel the same."
- These, of course, are the innocent scenarios: ones that end in minimal collateral and a generally happy ending. There are, however, far darker consequences that can occur when Walter falls in love with you....
- In one scenario, you might learn about his experiments early on, taking interest in his work and keeping it a secret from the rest of the crew. It might even be a part of what makes him fall for you: your acceptance of his newfound obsession. What you won't know, of course, is that he's been using your crewmembers as test subjects. I thought you found it fascinating. He'd tell you when you finally found out about what he'd been doing, acting as if your horror was unexpected or unreasonable.
- In another scenario, he might fake a freak accident in order to have you all to himself. He'll make it seem as though you're the sole survivor of a ship crash or a parasitic outbreak, reassuring and taking care of you, promising to protect you as if he isn't the very thing that's caused the danger you're supposedly in. It could take days, or weeks, or even years, but you'll eventually find out the truth. He's just hoping that by then, he'll have made you fall in love with him; or at least be able to sway you into believing something else....
"It must all be very shocking," he says, coming closer to help you up or touch you in some way, tilting his head when you flinch away. "Naturally, you need time to process things. Come, sit down and relax."
