MLB Trade Rumors: David Aardsma out of Toronto Blue Jays
David Aardsma has opted out of his minor league deal with Toronto Blue Jays and he is free to join other MLB teams.
According to a tweet, veteran reliever David Aardsma has left Toronto Blue Jays. David Aardsma has bounced off different teams after suffering from UCL and groin injuries in the past. As with any baseball players who had Tommy John surgery, they rarely go back to their form before. It needs utter dedication, right therapy and a bit of luck. At 34 years old, time might be running out for David Aardsma to finally be on a team in a longer basis.
He played for Atlanta Braves’ minor league in 2015 and recorded a 4.70 ERA. Despite his decent performances in minor league for Brave and Los Angeles Dodgers, he never got the opportunities to show his true worth in the majors.
MLB Trade Rumors report, David Aardsma will go the route he went last year when he had opportunities to sign for Atlanta Braves in the majors after impressive showing in the minors. He also has had many stints in teams like San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Atlanta Braves and Toronto Blue Jays in a span of 12 years. Most notable in his career was with Seattle Mariners in 2009-2010 season.
Other notable teams who are looking to bolster their team and could add David Aardsma are Los Angeles Angels, Texas Rangers and San Diego Padres.
In other news about Toronto Blue Jays has been involved in an in-game fight with with Texas Rangers. Players who were suspended from both teams include Jesse Chavez, Elvis Andrus, Jose Bautista and Rougned Odor with the latter receiving the biggest penalty, suspended for seven games.
