Jesus Christ Superstar (1996) - Steve Balsamo (Jesus), David Burt (Pilate), Zubin Varla (Judas), Joanna Ampil (Mary)

The original London cast of Les Misérables performs at the Olivier Awards, 1985 – I Dreamed a Dream, Bring Him Home, and One Day More.
Do You Hear the People Sing? - David Burt (Les Miserables)
CHESS London '88
The world premiere production of Chess, London, 1988 (two years into the three-year run): The Story of Chess (end) and Mountain Duet, with Grainne Renihan, David Burt, and Anthony Head. Anthony is the brother of Murray Head, who created the role of Freddie on the concept recording and in the London production two years earlier.
David Burt the original Enjolras returned to the show in 1990 to perform the role of Javert. Here he is singing Stars ... Please remember that this is a transfer from a cassette recording so the quality is not the best
27 renditions (1985 to 2017)
Damn their warnings damn their lies! They will see the people rise!
This Enjolras scene doesn’t get as much attention as some of his more pivotal ones (say DYHTPS or Final Battle), and was even cut from the 25th Anniversary recordings (both the concert and the cast album), but it’s one of my favourite moments in the show.
It’s interesting to compare the different takes that various performers bring to these lines - stoicism, anger, reassurance etc - it’s a concise reflection of the type of leader that they have chosen to portray.
(Note: apart from the 2017 clips, none of these audios are mine)
