As a Lewis girlie since before Thunderbolts, he's genuinely just a boring white man and I enjoy his characters more than him but people keep confusing him for his roles and it's like??? he's not Bob!?!? also comparing him to David Corenswet is WILD because it's like comparing a literal 100/10 to some guy™. I keep seeing stuff on tiktok about fans wanting a romcom where you're in a love triangle with David and Lew as the leads as if Superman himself isn't gonna clear the whole room just walking in 💀 they're in completely different leagues. I don't think I would have looked twice at Lewis if he wasn't an actor. if I saw a guy who looked like David walking down the street in my town I'd geek so hard I'd embarrass myself.

I don't get the comparison between David.c and lewis. David is really handsome and charming in interviews. Lewis is plain and forgettable. David isnt a nepo baby . He did the hard yards to secure this role . The DC franchise is getting resurrected under James gunn whilst marvel's recent movies have been flops.

I watched David for the time in "Hollywood" and he is very charming! Lewis is not only plain and forgettable he is also boring like I don't see charisma on screen and there's nothing worse than watching a boring actor/actress

I mean david corenswet played one of the most beloved superheroes of all time, if you don’t know anything about comics you still know who Superman is. Lewis played some character most people have never heard of lol there was no chance David wouldn’t outshine him as the white boy of the moment

That being said I agree it seems like Lewis/his team fumbled the opportunity to build more excitement for him before the summer blockbusters came out and the attention shifted. He was kind of the breakout star of thunderbolts since Florence is already so famous and for him to not capitalize on that is a bummer to watch as a fan. Feels like a lot of potential squandered so he can get smoothies with Kaia instead 💀

Yeah he does play one of the most beloved and famous characters but the fact he could have failed as a superman and destroy his reputation was higher than Lewis playing a character that was never played in a movie before so I think David had so much more in his back so it's fair that he is outshining him and if Superman was bad he wouldn't outshine him so it's not only the fact "it's superman" it's actually because he is superior

He did a lot of photoshoots etc but I think they failed in the TV promo like idk for a breakthrough performance it seemed too little
