Originally released on Cathedral Transmissions in 2015, David Newlyn’s ‘ethereal / æther’ is an ambient work divided in two parts: side A is a piece created using a cassette tape the artist found when he bought an old magnetophone, with some modern classical and musique concrète vibes; side B is a mesmerizing drone track with wide-opened drones which come and go.
