V: The Original Miniseries will be released on Blu-ray on August 27 via Warner Archive. It’s written and directed by Kenneth Johnson, who went on to create The Bionic Woman and The Incredible Hulk for TV.

The two-part science fiction miniseries premiered on NBC in 1983. It was successful enough to warrant a follow up, V: The Final Battle, in 1984 and a television series that ran in 1984-1985.

The series stars Jane Badler, Michael Durrell, Faye Grant, Peter Nelson, David Packer, Neva Patterson, Tommy Petersen, Marc Singer, Blair Tefkin, Michael Wright, and Robert Englund star.

V has been newly remastered in high definition with DTS HD-Master Audio 2.0. Although it initially aired in 4:3 full screen for television, Johnson has authorized a 16:9 widescreen presentation.
