Bill Szymczyck's a producer. He didn't just give the Eagles their wings to soar, Bob Seger, for instance, also achieved his biggest success with him on the helm. Then again, Against The Wind found Mr. Seger in his imperial phase, so we was bound to make something that huge. However, I would claim both the LP and Seger turned quite underappreciated later on. Was his vicinity to the Eagles – they continue to be used as a punchline in the vein of Nickelback and Imagine Dragons – used against him? Personally, I don't think so, I just believe the other rockers in his vein seemed to be more media savvy than him. I mean, Seger played the game, but you could tell he was always more interested in music than everything surrounding that.
