Classic AD&D Players Handbook Cover 3D Sculpt

Been working on this guy on and off for awhile now. Many will recognize it, but for those who don’t, it’s inspired by the work of classic D&D illustrator, David A. Trampier.

I grew up in the 80s playing AD&D and loved the many illustrations that adorned the various manuals, modules and other materials that were part of the game. Perhaps the most iconic image for me was Trampier’s cover illustration of the AD&D Players Handbook. This piece evokes so much of what the game is about. The adventure, mystery and of course, humor of the game are all packed into one image.

I’m planning to wire an LED light inside the bowl to give the dice a fiery effect like the painting. Not sure if I can find something bright enough that won’t give off too much heat.
