LP of the week #05 : Tomat Petrella - Kepler
This is the album of a meeting. An encounter between savvy musicians, recognized and virtuoso who discover themselves on a disc with an electronic theme, although built with other underlying styles, mainly jazz. Davide Tomat and Gianluca Petrella are initially jazz musicians, the first multi-instrumentalist seen in many groups and the second internationally recognized for his mastery of the trombone. This cooperation is however not limited to a banal electro-jazz record, a fashionable genre in the early 2000s, even if the use of instruments (including brass) is present on the record, we must look for jazz influences in the construction and development of songs, free, complex, whether at the level of melodies or rhythms.
