Hi! Is it possible to vote for Sawatari/Yuuya/Sora's ship name? I've myself drawn fanart of them (/ post / 125619313574 / arc-v-doodles-about-my-lovely-ot3-because-theyre) and I'll most likely draw them more in future, there is also fic of them in AO3. Btw sorry if I sent this message twice.

Yeah... People keep citing that the mangaka refers to Grell as male and as ‘okama’ but the thing is... not every place has the same terminology. Not everyone has grasped trans acceptance far enough to understand that a pre-transition woman is already a woman. The ‘wants to be a woman’ narrative is still far spread. And in this case that’s obviously what’s happening?? Grell herself does the ‘wrong body’ thing. She legitimately canonically states she thinks God made a mistake giving her a dick instead of a vag. Like they don’t do a perfect job not being transphobic about Grell, but she’s still undeniably a woman.

I guess people still go based off her saying ‘I want children but I can’t because I’m a man’ but like... she is obviously referring to not having the required uterus. Not to her gender being male. SHE MENTIONS HOW MUCH SHE WANTS TO TRANSITION SO OFTEN LIKE WHAT THE HELL.

I am glad that we got to see transitioned Grell in her vision here though ;w;

i mean yeah i’m using ‘she’ mainly because she has boobs. and in most cases in anime that means the character is a girl (also i’m really in love with horrible female characters and i really want more). And when her design was released I didn’t even consider the possibility of male characters in Pripara because there... are none? She does have a really deep voice but she’s not the only girl with a deep voice on the show. And Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live also went with prince themes with the girls so it would be really weird if they suddenly felt like they couldn’t do that again??

I don’t know, maybe the subbers didn’t see the design before and only decided based on the voice? Well I guess we’ll have to wait until Hibiki actually does things to be sure about anything.
