The Conners- Tangled Up in Blue, My thoughts
Thanks to those of you that are reading my thoughts on the current series of The Conners. It’s cool to know someone is curious about my thoughts. So here are my thoughts on Episode 2.
Now I just need to get this off my chest right away. Dear writers, if you aren’t going to have David and Darlene get back together, then you need to make her a Lesbian!
I’m excited to see they brought back Johnny Galecki. I missed him. I’m not a Big Bang Theory fan so him being in The Conners was fun. David and Darlene are tied on being my favorite characters. In the episode David is back and we get to meet Blue for the first time. I knew from the first mention of Blue on Roseanne that she was not going to be a character I liked. I was right. I dig the hippie vibe that some people do. But Blue is also (sorry not sorry for the language) an intrusive Bitch. Now I do admire that she wants to be part of parenting seeing that she is dating David. That is a responsible move. But saying that she “feels” like she’s “known Mark since forever” is a ridicoulus move.
Now, no offense to Juliette Lewis....but something about her face pisses me off. Yea, thats rude of me to say. (No my face isn’t good looking.) But I will give her credit for playing an unlikable character very well.
The Becky part of the episode about her realizing she’s an alcoholic is a little interesting. But seeing her life unraveling the way it is, it just makes sense.
Overall, it was a good episode. I’m curious to see what might become of David and Darlene. Do you guys agree with me?
